Quality parts here and some of them are priced well, but problematic service. We had a camper upgraded with a battleborn battery, but the service techs got the wiring backwards. After leaving it with them for a couple days, everything looked good, but later, the charging system triggered errors in our truck electrical systems. Had to bring it back for another round of troubleshooting and repairs. After this, the system worked for about 2 months before having issues again at the end of the season, completely dying in spite of solar input and a alternator charging from our truck. Next spring, we hooked everything back up and it flat out failed. Battery was full, but lines hot when the battery switch was off and no power to any of the camper. Brought it back in the spring and was forwarded on to the valley service department. Sat for a couple weeks with no updates. At first, Renewable was comping labor and parts to get the system working, but it seemed like staff were just learning how to do things using our camper so each step took long stretches of time. Eventually they started charging for work again in spite of the system never operating for more than a few months.

Ended up buying a whole new camper so we could enjoy our summers again and to end the constant cycle of going in for repairs/corrections. If you need parts, this business has the some of the best stock. However, if their expert Karl isn't the one doing the work, don't expect much for installation and troubleshooting.

Carl and Kevin gave me great recommendations and I checked everything out. I compared pricing on line and found the pricing at RES to be really competitive but much more convenient. I purchased a 400 watt system for my Wolf Creek truck camper and it took me only about 3.5 hours to install. I called for advice several times and every time I was helped in a friendly, professional manner. Hats of to RES.

We were advised that the utility company may take a coupe of weeks to come out and exchange the meter and this is exactly what happened. I called RES over Christmas break. I was at a remote/off grid cabin and my generator failed with temps reaching -32F. The Solar system I purchased from RES was working perfectly. But my back-up generator was not powering the cabin. I called KEVIN at RES. He spent nearly 40 minutes on the phone with me troubleshooting my issues. Kevin was patient and knowledgeable and got my system up and running. Customer service like this is hard to find! I will not buy any solar anywhere other than from RES. Kevin has my repeat business.

I had bought a used solar off grid system from a neighbor but it wasn't complete. I informed them what I had and they told me what I would need to make it work and gave me more than one option. I was only sold what I needed and the price was right. It didn't end there. Once I had everything hooked up, they helped me fine tune the system for the best performance. All the staff at RES Anchorage have been extremely helpful over several years of purchasing gear and hiring them for rural call-out jobs.
