Where do I start… It’s quite simple actually, you cannot get a hold of anybody at the Aledo location. Absolutely worthless to have that location. Over the course of about four months, I’ve had zero luck getting a hold of anybody to ask a question. I guess I’ll have to get their attention and just drop off my trash at their front doorstep. Trying to do things the correct way does not work with these guys.

So disappointed; just cancelled our service as we moved and they tell me they have to charge me $50. Per can, I have two, to pick up the cans from my address, even though they’re doing the pick up the same day as trash service. I understand that it’s a different truck that picks up the cans… but seriously; you want to charge me $100. To pick up your cans! This is crazy! Maybe what y’all should do is charge a deposit in the beginning that gets paid over the first year of service. Then when someone calls to cancel you can deduct the final bill from the trashcan deposit and send the rest to your customer. They might do repeat business with you, I, from now on, will not be doing repeat business with you!

I'm upset you can't do a zero star. Republic grabbed our trash can today (they broke it a couple weeks ago) and I've been waiting on hold for their "customer service" for two hours now. Their call-back service doesn't work by the way. At some point just hire more customer service reps because this is a joke.

So out of the clear blue I get this letter. The afternoon before trash pickup day. Maybe I shouldn't have called them for not picking up the trash twice in one month. UPDATE: If you look below, you will see the computer generated response. I will be using their competitor.

Just disappointed in this company in general. No need or want to retain customers it seems. They charge you $65 to drop off a residential dumpster then want to charge $50 to pick-up their own property. I offered to drop it off myself with zero options. Moving on after almost 7 years with them.

8/24/22 Update; I was able to get the pickup fee waved but now we are almost 10 weeks out from cancelation and I cannot get my refund check for the last full month that was withdrawn after cancelation although I stopped auto payment and took my card information off of my account. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks after processing to get a check in the mail. The person I was emailing with will no longer respond to me either.

10/18/22 still no refund check. I've even spoke with someone from Houston office who told me my refund was never issued. It's been 6 weeks since I was told they would handle it and this has not happened either. It's been 18 weeks since I canceled.

They seemed to be reliable. However, their fees kept rising without being warned. You set them up as ACH withdrawal and they decide not to notify you of increases. Their customer service department is a joke. They are trained to ignore your requests and tell you what they think you want to hear. I canceled my account and removed my payment information and they still took money from my bank account for the next month billing. I just received another bill a month later for even more money. Plus $50 + fees is too high to have them pick up the container. Highway robbery is what it is. Never recommend them to anyone.

DO NOT USE!!! Republic services never picked up my recycling bin. I had to call for a missed pickup every time I put my recycling bin out. I escalated my issues to their "operating team" if you even wanna even call them that. I got a call back ONCE from their super rude and unprofessional office lady. She informed me that her supervisor was going out to my home in the next 30 mins, and I was somehow expected to be there? I was at work with no prior notice! Finally I just called and canceled because they were not completing the service I pay over $30 for every week. RIDICULOUS

Stay far away! The kept raising our rates while my neighbors across the street are paying less than $20 a month for the same service, and none of us are in the city, all county. I switched to Parker County Waste Management which is much cheaper and doesn’t charge to drop off their container. Republic charged me a $50 container removal fee plus fuel fees and taxes to pick up their container, over $75 total for one trip to my house! Called customer support and they claim they can’t help as the fuel charges and taxes are added automatically. Horrible customer service!
