Recently, I worked with Residential Electric for my basement remodel and they were completely top notch from start to finish! The day I met Tammy for the walkthrough of the project, she was attentive, honest, and creative with her suggestions for what would fit my need.

She was thinking two steps ahead of my planned questions which put me at ease and was so appreciated. They were able to get me scheduled in the time period I needed and the overall quote was more than reasonable for the work.

Day of, her team was tremendous and also very efficient. They worked through adding all the lights in my full basement within three hours, cleaned up and were on their way.

No doubt I would recommend RE to anyone and also use them again for any future jobs!! A truly great experience.

I called Residential Electric after arriving to a house I'm listing and finding most of the light fixtures would not turn on. I had a professional photographer and the carpet cleaner scheduled to arrive in a couple of hours. Well, Tammy made sure to run by between her appointments so I could keep mine. Within no time, Tammy had diagnosed the problem and promised to get the part and have it fixed prior to my photography appointment. How awesome is that!!! Not only did she fix the problem in time, but followed up with me the next day to make sure everything was still working properly, it was!!! Five star service for sure.

Tammy and her team have replaced all of our main floor interior lighting as well as ceiling fans and updated our exterior lighting. The team is great to work with, on time, very professional and offer creative and cost effective solutions. Service and price are a winning combination! Looking forward to our next project with them.

I paid Residential Electric almost $20,000 as part of an extensive home remodel. I was left with live exposed wires, light switches that do not operate anything, a completely incorrectly marked electric panel, light fixtures that constantly flicker, a nonworking doorbell. The list goes on and on and on. It is an absolute disaster. Every day my house does not burn down because of Residential Electric is a good day. The worst (and most insulting) part is the grossly unprofessional email I received from the owner (Tammy) saying that "some people cannot be pleased," denying responsibility, and blaming me for the haphazard electrical work. Please learn from my mistakes and hire licensed, union electricians.

Edited after reading the business's response. They did not previously do work for me that was "fine." I hired them for one job, which they partially completed in 2021 and partially completed in 2022. I chose Residential Electric because the first time I met the owner she started crying in front of me about her abusive biological father and ex-wife with narcissistic personality disorder. My friends who have previously used Residential Electric urged me to use someone professional and thorough, but I used my heart instead of my head and gave her business a chance. It was a mistake. They were on-site in January 2021 and December 2021, and both experiences were chaotic and work was left half-done by new, untrained "electricians". I had already paid them for work that was still not completed, so I gave them yet another chance in August 2022 to finish the project. The office manager stressed over and over again that the work would be done thoroughly and professionally. It is absolutely untrue that I did not "give them a chance to make it right."Thank you for sharing the content of your email to me. It is jaw dropping that you think it is an appropriate response to a client, and I'm glad you are sharing it with the public so they can see firsthand what behavior you find appropriate. Your response is worse for your business than any bad review. This was a $400,000+ home renovation, and there were no issues with plumbers, roofers, drywallers, concrete companies, painters, or any of the other trades. Everyone else managed to do their job exceptionally well with no complaints from me. As stated in my original review, blaming the customer and the project shows what kind of company Residential Electric is. I urge potential customers to learn from my experience and hire licensed, union electricians.

Have used Residential Electric for over 15 years. They have always done a great job and didn't consider the job done until we were totally satisfied. Our most recent project was fairly extensive with new lighting being done and moving switches around. Once they were done we realized we didn't like the location of some of the switches (which we picked) and Tammi and the guys came out and took care of all of our requests. We will continue to use Residential Electric for years to come! Thank you Tammi and crew!

We have used Tammy and her staff at Residential Electric over the last year, most recently to correct extensive electrical issues in a new home we purchased. All experiences have been professional, thorough and reasonably priced. They are always exceptionally quick to respond, willing to go the extra mile for their customer, and listen attentively to concerns and wishes. We will continue to use them for all our electrical needs in the future and highly recommend them to anyone.

I called a few months ago to set up an estimate. A guy came out and was nice, but when we tried to schedule, he said to just call him a couple weeks before we need the job done. So we waited.

Yesterday morning I called and left a message to schedule. They called back a day later (which is fine) and I missed it. I called back a couple hours later and no answer. I decided a few hours after that to call again and someone did answer, but she was rude, which is why I’m writing this review.

I explained what needed to be done and what the electrician who did the estimate previously said. She insisted we are not in the system and no one ever did an estimate here. She tried to argue with me about how it’s not in her calendar and it would have been.

I told her it didn’t matter and that we can just set up another estimate and I asked her when is the soonest I can have the work done. She abruptly stopped after I asked this and I heard someone laugh in the background and say, “they didn’t let you finish, did they?” I could hear the irritation (at me) in her voice when she answered my question.

This was extremely unprofessional. I’ve worked in customer service for years. I get days can be frustrating. That’s no excuse to be rude, argue, and make customers feel like they shouldn’t have called.

After her coworkers rude statement, she said they’re booked out until the middle/end of November.

It’s frustrating that I was told to call a couple weeks ahead of time and now we wouldn’t get the work done even close to when we need it.

They need a better system if that’s how things are being done. Also, the person who answered the phone (I didn’t get a name) needs a course in how to greet and interact with potential customers.
