My name is Cody Gibson. I've lived in Taft for awhile now and I've never tried or been to Route 33 Sandwich shop before, so I went in try it today and I gotta say I'm really glad I did. The owner himself along with his wife were running the shop. I asked what he recommended on the menu and you could just see the passion behind the man's eyes when he started explaining the different sandwiches they had. I was gonna go for their classic French Dip but then I asked if they had horseradish sauce. And then the owner lite up and recommended a sandwich that wasn't on the menu which was a Spicy French Dip, which came on this perfectly baked bread, horseradish aloi sauce, meat, red onion, pepper jack cheese and jalapenos on it. Plus of course the au jus sauce on the side. Which I ended up pairing with their soup of the day and a large fountain drink. Which came to a total of like $15 and some change. And the owner was so confident in his food that he told me that "if I didn't like my food that he would give me my money back" and well.......let's just say I ended up eating every last bite because it was SOOOO DELICIOUS!!! I dined there in their back patio area and the atmosphere was great! It was all car themed decorated and they even provide peanuts to munch on while you wait for your food and you can just toss the shells on the ground. I definitely rate this place a 12 outta 10 for sure! I highly recommend it for anyone else who hasn't tried it yet. And I, myself, will most most certainly be coming back here again. Thank you so much for the whole experience, especially the bomb ASF food. ? God Bless!

Decent little sandwich shop. Many sandwich options in classic styles. Sides include house made potato salad and pasta salad. There is an outdoor seating area that is comfortable. Prices are more than cheaper sandwich places, but I found the flavor to be worth it.

Tried this place a few years back and was not impressed..decided to give it another try and they definitely redeemed themselves! Got the Italian Stalion and yes it DID tasted as good as the picture 😀

Everything about this place is amazing. The BBQ chicken bacon panini is absolutely amazing. This has to be one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The staff is incredible and super friendly too. Family's new favorite spot. Can't believe we've been missing out for years.

Delicious sandwiches!

Such a bit generous with the Mayo cause the bead is a bit dry.. but didn’t mind paying the extra lettuce and Mayo on my Club Me Sandwich. It made it takes awesome .
