The mountain bike trails are fine for beginners. Otherwise, it’s not a system to build on your skills as an experienced rider.

Also, you’ll encounter many hikers as you descend Dynamite.

I absolutely love this park! I'm out there nearly every morning, and I truly regret the days I can't make it out. Until very recently, I would have never considered a morning hike to be for me, but this park has changed me.

San Tan Mountain Regional Park is fairly large and has many hiking trails that range from easy to moderate. The terrain is flat to moderately hilly with very little shade. It gets very hot even in cool weather due to lack of shade so bring plenty of water and hike during the morning hours. There are bathrooms here in the parking lot and there is plenty of parking.

Beautiful place to hike, trails for all levels. The trails take you through beautiful cacti and hills. Views along the way are fabulous. Go early as the parking fills up very soon.

Today's hike at San Tan Regional Park was truly memorable.

The park offers a wonderful combination of natural beauty and accessible trails for all levels of outdoor enthusiasts.

I appreciated being able to bring my leashed canine companion along with me on the adventure as well.

Great trails for all skill levels. Pay attention to the maps as trails vary in length and difficulty. I think it was $7 per carload for entry. Facilities were clean and updated. Really nice park and trails!

Great hike yesterday on San Tan trail east, south, and west to Moonlight trail. Lots of brittlebush, Ocotillo, and Coulter's lupine plus other typical dessert blooms. The highlight was less than a mile from Moonlight Trail-a hedgehog cactus in full bloom! It made my day.

This place is gorgeous! They did a great job of setting up a mix of flat and elevated trails. You can walk a short loop or go for a while. Parking is $7, but they offer season passes. Many dogs with respectful owners. Dogs are always on leashes and sensitive pups are pulled to the side to let you pass. There tend to be horses on the trails. Many respectful bicyclists. Everyone is nice and the views are gorgeous.
Unfortunately, it appears that there are some developments happening near the park.
