Can't believe I haven't been here. We were going to eat inside but my boys wanted to eat on the beach by the river. Catfish sandwich, chicken sandwich, and ribs were absolutely AWESOME. We are definitely making this place a regular stop every month. Awesome owner, great staff. 10/10. I saved three ribs for my wife to try back in Petaluma. But I ate them on the drive back. LMAO.

Great soul food spot! We came during dinner rush without a reservation but they still squeezed us in. The food was delicious and the service was great. We had their dinner special, which included chicken cracklings, fried catfish, fried chicken, a pork rib, barbecue chicken, mac and cheese, cole slaw and collard greens. The fried chicken was excellent and the pork rib was a close second. There was something off about the catfish; it was a little mushy. Everything else was very good and we really enjoyed our meal.

Amazing food! We will eat here again. Everything was amazing. We split a plate, and got other meats via a la carte. The catfish was some of the best I've had, and the ribs were cooked to perfection.
You will want to make a reservation because it gets busy.

Wow! That was definitely the best hidden gem I’ve came across, we walked in around 7.30 and sat at the bar. It was a lovely cozy vibe & the staff were super friendly! The food was delicious, along with all there sauces they give you! Moira was full of chat to us and always checked in and so was Evett! Check this place out & be sure to make reservations, you won’t be disappointed!

We recently was on vaca from Tennessee. Decided to eat here on our last day. So glad we did. The atmosphere was adorable and unique. Waiter was great. The owner introduced herself to us. And checked back on us. Explained how she got started. And the soul food was excellent. Made our day and trip complete. Hope to go back. Thank u Saucy mama..... the Hosfords

I'm so happy to have visited, the food was absolutely delicious (pork ribs omfg, best okra I've ever had), Erica made our experience delightful. She's incredibly sweet and attentive. Music was on point, vibe was spot on. Can't wait to come back!

My Husband and I are from Texas and have been missing the Food and Atmosphere of southern hospitality and actual good cooking.. this restaurant was recommended and the thought of eating BBQ ribs out of Texas did not sit right with us but we decided to try it anyway.. when I tell you that angels sang in my ears when I took that first bite of pork ribs and tasted the beautiful smoked flavor I knew it was going to be a wonderful experience.. the staff were absolute dolls! The food was beyond our expectations and the history of the family is so sweet, a New Orleans vibe which made me feel right at home due to my history of living near the Gulf! If I could rate this restaurant higher than I would! Loved it!

I personally recommend the Hushpuppies, Hot links and sweet tea! ❤️

Five stars all around!

This weekend we celebrated my grandmother’s 80th birthday, and had 18 people (including one infant) attending her surprise party at Saucy Mama’s. From the beginning to the end, the owner was informative and accommodating. She helped come up with the family style meal to make this cost-effective for our large group.

It is evident the owner is fully invested in her restaurant and its patrons, down to the smallest detail!

For example, she encouraged the live musician to stop the music when my grandmother was about to walk in, and had the entire restaurant shout “Surprise!” as she walked in.

We were able to bring our own cakes for dessert, and at one point we dropped the “0”candle between the wall and the seating, so we only had an “8” candle left. She invested much time and energy to retrieve it, and after many unsuccessful attempts, they were able to find another “0” candle for us to have. Super sweet gesture! I wouldn’t doubt if they sent someone to the store to grab one. They went completely above and beyond to make this celebration extra special.

Thank you Saucy Mama’s for the sweet memories we will cherish for years to come!
