I am very disappointed with the management in the Cross City store. My daughter was given an opportunity to work at this store and at first everything was great but things started changing and the manager Kim started showing favoritism towards other employees. My daughter was left working many nights by herself while other employees were allowed to leave early. My daughter had spoken to the manager Christian about coming to work late since she was going with me to take my others son back to their dad's house...well manager Kim took it upon herself to tell her not to bother going in to work she had found a replacement for her. My daughter was always on time and doing more than expected and the customers loved her. But her final day was Black Friday 11/29/2024 when she clocked in early as usual and began sweeping the store for Kim to tell her to clock out in a very harsh tone in front of my employees and customers. My daughter called me crying because she is tired of the mistreatment. I went back and confronted Kim but she acted like she did nothing wrong. The day before Thanksgiving my daughter worked and the new employee hired failed to properly close the doors which allowed customers to enter after store hours and surprise my daughter and the manager when they were cleaning up the store. She made mention of this to Kim which she said the doors were closed fine when she arrived in the morning. Exactly if my daughter would not corrected this problem the store definitely would have had plenty of theft overnight. Now my daughter no longer works there but hears from ex employees as well as current employees how Kim continues to talk bad about my daughter and belittle her name when she no longer works there. This is a small town where everyone knows everyone. I for sure will not be spending my money or time at this save alot anymore.

Nice clean store which has everything needed. Big parking lot. Friendly staff. Aisle are wide and never cluttered. Meat section always stocked well and prices are reasonable. Local so being a patron supports the community of Cross City. Wide variety of snacks to choose from also. Overall I like the cleanliness of this store.

I would say the last few experiences I've had at this store have been terrible. The girl Makayla has been extremely rude to a lot of people along with myself and or is always on her phone. I do not understand how a place of buisness runs like this with employees being rude when asked for help or just plain unfriendly. I think at this point I'll go to Walmart from now on where people are paid to be friendly and helpful. Unless this changes not only will I go to Walmart from now on I will make sure my friends and family do not enter this store until their employees change their attitudes. Do better save a lot.

I’m a regular shopper at this SavALot and love the employees and managers. Christian is always helpful and willing to answer any questions I have or find out about a product. I asked to have rye bread stocked and the next time I shopped, there it was! I love the Cuban bread too, which is usually in stock also. I found my favorite mini cucumbers here and they were cheaper than at the DG where I originally ran across them!! Hope they keep them in stock!! I would like to have more SUGAR FREE item ( jello, pudding, cake mixes, jams/jelly, ice cream, etc) !They have a good spice selection!!
Everyone tries to help you and are always pleasant. I wish the cilantro was better and not limp though. The fresh produce is usually plentiful and good. Thank you y’all

Is smaller Save-A-Lot store as far as I can tell from their franchise. Here in Cross City of Dixie county Florida, it is the only store until Old Town that you can get groceries out of, for a reasonable price that is. The grocery market in Old Town smells really bad usually and the prices are very high. Next to that you would probably go further into chiefland and there is a Save-A-Lot there that is also much larger, but it stays rather dirtier. Hitchcock's down in Trenton is very very pricey, it stinks too as far as the smell, but they have a wide variety of food and a very nice butcher section to check out; but you will certainly pay the difference.

I shop at Save-A-Lot a lot and have always been happy but sadly today I'm very disappointed and please forgive me if you feel I'm out of place place with this. Today when I was in there the two women working there were in a big conversation and as she was ringing up my groceries I set one 12 pack of soda on the counter and told her I had two. She was so busy in her conversation she did not acknowledge me. When I told her a second time she snapped at me and told me she got it. I told her I had a case of water again she was so busy in her conversation she did not acknowledge me so I didn't say anything a second time cuz I didn't want to get snapped at again. Shortly after the other lady come walking by and acted like I was trying to steal the water and ask her if she got the water. Forgive me but I feel as a customer when you're ringing up my groceries and collecting my money you should at least pay attention and acknowledge me. It's just very disappointing to be treated like as a customer I mean absolutely nothing to you all. I totally understand people having conversations but when you're doing customer service you got to at least be willing to pay halfway attention to the customer. If you all don't feel customer service is important maybe I should shop somewhere else?‍♂️

Their meat always looks so good, for great prices. Their fresh produce is also great quality. The employees are always kind and make an effort for small talk, something you don't see at a lot of places anymore. The little, "how's your day?" goes a long way. Love this place.
