One of those bike shops you can just roll into and get a reasonable service with friendly and knowledgeable staff. I needed a small repair for my bike and Paul quickly and professionally took care of it.

My favorite bike shop in San Francisco!

I've had squeaky cantilever brakes for three years now and have only ever managed to slightly reduce the noise after some very thorough cleanings and tweaking. I brought my bike in and Joel was able to get rid of the squeak completely!! He was even down to take a second look a couple days later when I noticed some lingering squeaking on long descents and did some minor adjustments for free.

Very nice friendly folks working here, they explain things clearly, and are upfront with time and costs. Plus they have a super cute shop dog!

I didn't realize a bike shop could help to partially replace your faith in humanity. Not only were they genuinely honest from the moment I walked in, they exhibited upmost professionalism and pragmatic approaches to my bike needing it's first maintenance in 3 years. I didn't feel 'fleeced' with the quote or services recommended, and they ultimately charged me less than the lower end of the quoted service price. Bonus: they have some awesome doggos helping to supervise their work, so you know they are good people over there. Wish this staff ran more businesses in general. Highly recommend.

Stellar bike work and knowledge, great vibes, clear communication, and all things enjoying the scenic routes in life! I've built a bike up from scratch with the mechanics, repaired and comfortized my city cruiser, and purchased their fine curated goods like bags, shirts, and bandannas. I have had my bike for many years for easy commutes. After it was fixed in Boston in 2021 after I was hit by a car I felt like the bike never rode the same. And anytime I’d take it into a shop they would say it was fine.
Fast forward to 2024, I live here in the Bay and have taken this bike on more hilly rides but felt like it was still messed up in some way but to me as a casual rider who doesn’t know all too much about bikes I couldn’t identify it.
I stopped into Scenic Routes because I did notice my chain was rubbing against my frame and immediately the employee was able to identify ALL of the issues I was experiencing.
I recently picked up my bike from being worked on and it rides like it did pre-2021 accident thank you Scenic Routes!!
