This visitor center is a little bit hard to find and even more of a challenge to park at, but it is worth a stop to get information about Sedona and they even give you discount coupons to be used at several restaurants in the area. Sedona is a very walkable town with much to see. No matter where you are in Sedona the views are amazing. This is probably why so many movies stars choose to have a home in this area. An amazing place to visit with Miles and miles of hiking available if you’re strong enough and brave enough, there are great opportunities for touring in your vehicle to see many of the surrounding sites and parks and overlooks there is folklore surrounding these areas that has not been scientifically proven but very interesting to learn about if you have time there is a one hour or two hour trolley tour that starts in downtown and goes out near surrounding Area to catch some of the great views of the rock, formations and mountains. When we went the price for the one hour tour was about $50 for two people. The tour buses are open air so hang onto your hats. don’t worry if you’re concerned about pitstops, halfway through they stop at an area with restrooms. A word of caution, parking can be a real challenge in Sedona. There are numerous free public parking areas but do not park where it is posted no parking for any reason. They are quick to ticket you and the tickets are $60 minimum and double to 120 after two weeks

10/10 experience with Tom. He fully informed us on the unique hiking experiences and shuttle services of Sedona. Gave some great restaurant recommendations. Had some really great information about the area. Explains everything very well and easy to follow his instructions for directions. Definitely don’t miss checking in here if you come to town!

Small parking for RVs - two places available. We received many printed materials, all information were given in a very chaotic way. I guess we knew more from Internet than from visitor center regarding visiting Sedona. They give you lot of information about cultural events but not about trailheads. Water dispenser for bottles was not working.

All I wanted was to look at the post cards to add to my collection but this one particular family were standing sooo close to the display, which shouldn’t have been shoved into a corner like that - it should have been more accessible to people like me who have Google and can look up visitor information on my own. Instead I got to sit down for over 10 minutes waiting for said people to hurry up with their questions and get out of my way. The staff even knew I wanted to look at the postcards - there was even a dead period where that family were the only ones at the desk, and no one said, “here let’s move down so that this nice lady can look at the postcards.” None of that. I don’t understand why you would toss someone aside when they’re willing to spend money but after about 10 minutes of waiting I decided not to give these people a single penny and go somewhere else where I’m going to be treated like a human being and not like an outcast because I can use Google unlike these Boomers who clearly have nowhere to be.

Chamber needs to protect local businesses. YOUR city’s parking fee scam has been uncovered. Signs all over say ‘free’ parking. Leave a ton of unused spaces for RV’s? Then when cars/trucks park there, that get a citation. How much for parking in an UNUSED spot you ask? $150 + $3 convenience fee. So in order to stay in our vacation budget, we opted out of spending $150 on dinner. That has been the minimum we’ve spent on dinner this week. LOCAL BUSINESS loses here. I’m not going to be extorted like that. My $153 was merely a donation to this wonderful place. Maybe invest in better signage? Maybe fire whoever came up with this scam and replace them with someone that can help the tourism and local businesses? Just a thought.
