We had solar installed earlier this year and our experience was exceptional from start to finish! Rob worked with us from beginning to end and was professional and informative about all our questions prior to install. We entertained several quotes and took into consideration cost, years in business, and project presentation. SIG Placerville stood out as a company that had the experience and flexibility to provide the best solution at an affordable price. At no time did we feel we were being pressured or oversold.
After we agreed to move forward and permitting was completed, they got to work and our system was installed within a week's time including the excavation and grading for the ground mount. Ashley, our project coordinator and kept us informed every step of the way navigating the process with PG&E and the county. Rob kept tabs on the project and was often onsite to answer our questions.
The crew were all professional, obviously enjoyed their work, and were able to answer all our questions about each phase of the installation. We also had an option to add capacity to our system and they just finished adding panels to our system.

So happy we went with Sig. After receiving quotes from other solar companies I gave Sig a call. Rob showed up at my house to discuss our needs. Before I even went with them SIG went above the competition with specialized equipment that found the best locations on our roof. Since we have tall trees the panels were split into 3 optimal locations. The other companies used a computer program to do the shade analysis and some panels would have been heavily shaded in the winter.
Their cost per watt was less that the other companies and the whole SIG crew was very professional from the start throughout the whole installation. Highly Recommend.

I have waited to post this until I’ve had my system until my first true up bill. I started my search for solar about a year and a half ago, and initially everything was so confusing. What was not confusing were the horror stories I read about regarding solar installation companies. These stories combined with the investment costs nearly pushed me into staying with the high cost of PG&E electricity in California, but my wife’s pottery studio with a large electric kiln and eight pottery wheels made solar the only viable option. Additionally my residence is a 3300 square foot “Live Better Electronically “ 1950’s all electric house.

Originally I reached out to three installers, and eventually narrowed my selection down to SIG. I chose SIG mostly because they were competitive in pricing, their sales staff were kind and knowledgeable, - and explained both the negatives and positives of solar well. The installers were polite and professional. They came out, understood my situation, did science on my roof, suggested a back up battery to carry us through Time of Use billing, and figured out all of the permitting.

SIG estimated my use pretty darn close too! One year of electricity could easily been over $15,000, but my true up bill is a few hundred bucks. I am absolutely glad I got solar, and grateful I chose SIG.
