I havent even gotten the system installed but was at the contract signing phase. Horrible communication from John. Talked to john once and after follow up he didnt respond for two weeks. Gave benifet of doubt and decided tk still proceed. After he sent a contract i asked a question. Weeks without replying. Still havent heard back from emails or texts. During the process recommend them to two other people but due to customer service i have nulled those recommendations and recommend that you do the same. If this is how they respond to potential customers that are about to sign contracts then think of how hard it's going to be to get them to do the warranties if something goes wrong. Please read the negative reviews and think twice.

I am very happy I decided to have solar panels installed on my home. Solar Solutions was able to help reassure my decision to go solar. They are very knowledgeable and able to answer all the questions I had. They also were able to get a new roof installed on my home as well which was an easy and joyful experience. I now get to live in a home with a beautiful roof and a home that produces its own energy. My first utility bill was a great reassurance to why going solar was a great decision. I highly recommend Solar Solutions to anyone that is looking to go solar and wanting to save money on their electric bill.

Avoid these scammers. Had them put in a system for my home. Nothing but problems through the entire process. They managed to complete it in 2018. Hoped I would never have to contact them again but unfortunately my system is no longer producing as it should and when I reached out to them for service they made up a story that I still owed them money, which my system is fully paid off, and that because of this my warranty was null and void. They have no proof of me owing them this money. They say the rebate check I received was supposed to be paid to them. The check came in my name and my electric company informed me that it was my rebate to keep. I've asked for documentation where I agreed to give them that money and they have nothing. Now I'm stuck with a $25000 solar system that doesn't even do what it is supposed to, and they refuse to stand by their work and product. Horrible company with even worse service. STEER CLEAR!!!!!!

Edited: I had issues previously, but they have been worked out so I have removed those comments.
The Process
--------------------
I was happy with the process of getting the panels and getting them installed. All of the people from the local office and the installers seemed like good people and were easy to work with. They have a financing partner we used that was easy to get set up with and with decent terms. It only took a day or two of work for the crew to actually get the panels installed when my scheduled time came around. When there was a bit of wait for the utility company to get there part done to actually get the panels functional, the SSOA team kept in touch to let me know the progress. All told the process took a handful of months, but most of that was waiting for my scheduled install day and then the utility company.
The Performance
----------------------------
I have had the panels for about a year now. During the summer months my bill nears 0, though unfortunately I'm not achieving the hoped for (and estimated) results of overproducing in summer and therefore getting credit to cover the winter's bills, so during winter my bills are only somewhat offset by the solar. Perhaps their team overestimated the amount of sun I would get, or the performance of the panels. This will probably make my ROI a bit longer, but oh well.

Hi Micha, I just want to think Kayla and Sara and your entire crew. Although it took three months to get from start to finish, The weather wasn’t the greatest and short days didn’t help.Everyone on you crew was very nice to us and very professional. The first crew was here ten hours installing the panels, they had to finish in the dark. The second crew was here 6 hours.Very nice men. The third crew finished the project, again two nice men.
I want to think you also for paying my electric bill durning this installation process.

We already had solar on our home and had now decided to add a battery backup system. We raise and store a lot of our own food and have several refrigerators and freezers we cannot afford to lose power to in an emergency. We also wanted our grid tied system to be able to operate when the grid was down. After looking into several types of battery backup systems we decided that we wanted lithium iron phosphate batteries because of their safety and came across the Lion Energy Sanctuary System. We did not have any local Connecticut installers but Lion Energy referred us to Solar Solutions. I never thought a company from Missouri would come all the way out to Connecticut to do an instal but they did. Chris and the Solar Solutions team worked out all the logistics and we now have our battery backup system installed and more importantly our peace of mind that our home is prepared for any power outage. Chris has also been there for us remotely after the instal as we tweak our system to operate the way we want. The local installers we contacted either never called us back or could only offer us systems that did not meet our requirements and were more expensive. Thank you Solar Solutions for giving us a great system.

Took them 2 years to finish our project and they offered us some “kind of compensation” (free battery) but then said just kidding and never followed through with it. We now have doubled our payments, a full electric payment and a solar payment.

So far it's been a great experience working with Chris at Solar Solutions. He was quick to contact me after I expressed interest and provided a thorough and comprehensive assessment and plan to get a high quality solar setup at the most inexpensive way possible. The financing took a while due to the volume of people trying to get solar before the tax credits expire. We're on track to be up and independent from the power company while paying less in the long run and increasing the value of our home. Looking forward to posting updates as the installers get the panels put up!
