My inverter went out but I didn't know it until I got the bill a year later. Desperate to fix my system, I didn’t know which company to go with. The original company had gone out of business. Some companies seemed interested only in dollar signs. Another local company didn’t want to bother because it’s an older system. Then I called Solar Shoppers. In talking with Shawn, I could tell he was honest, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely cared. During the process, he responded quickly, working to solve the problem. He helped me go the less expensive route which was to go with another old inverter through the warranty. However, it was indefinitely on backorder, and the company wanted me to spend even more money to get one sooner. Shawn was willing to help me fight it to go with the cheaper option. However, I decided to go with the new Tesla inverter. The perk is it has an app showing electrical input in real time. Shawn’s expert knowledge and integrity made me a lifelong customer! Highly recommend.

I was trying to squeeze in under nem 2.0 and had been talking to a couple companies. I didn't get the sense of urgency from them to get approved by 4/14. I called SolarShoppers on a weekend and left a message. Shawn called me back right away and spent over an hour with me talking about how they are working on the applications to get them in and make sure they don't get rejected for something dumb. He said they didn't need any money to put me in and I wouldn't pay anything until install. He even agreed to put a clause in the contract that we would only proceed if we got approved for nem 2.0. Their price was fair also so we went for it.
They checked and double checked the submission and even reviewed it with a 3 people team to see if they could find anything wrong before the deadline. I got approved with two days to spare.
The install happened quickly after that and they were very careful with my older roof tiles that are hard to match. The few they broke they replaced with matches they had in their boneyard. I was satisfied. The entire system was done in a day as Zeke's team was very efficient and the electrician Henry was great also. The inspection went smoothly shortly after and I am now covering two A/C units and my pool pump running simultaneously with a couple KWh to spare that I am putting back into the grid. It's fun to see the arrow on the meter point to the grid instead of the house and my system has been performing at max capacity on sunny days so far. Levon even followed up with a call to get me setup on the app and answer my outstanding questions.
I'm pretty demanding of the contractors I use and they usually don't live up to my expectations but I can't think of one single thing SolarShoppers could have done better...maybe ditch the corny radio adds. LoL Completely satisfied and didn't have any of the issues some of our friends had with their companies.
A++ company who is on top of their game. Don't waste your time with the others. If you want it to go smoothly, SolarShoppers is your one stop shop.

Ive had my solar for almost 8 years now and I don't regret it... if something goes wrong they contact me before I even realize it. I've only had to have one thing fixed over this time and they came out and replaced the part immediately at no charge. Yesterday Levon called me and said something was out, offered to come take a look this morning and found the problem and is on his way back with the part to fix it right now. Less than 24 hours from the time he called me. You won't regret going with Solar Shoppers, I recommend them to anyone who listens. Thanks

Would highly recommend the services of solarshoppers, especially Sean. He went above and beyond to answer our (self and spouse) questions. To give context, we already have solar panels on our home, but this year our annual bill from SoCal Edison significantly went up and we were also receiving slightly higher monthly bills from our CCA (EPIC). When we first called SoCal Edison they hypothesized that it could possibly be due to our solar panels not generating as much solar energy as in the past, instructing us to to consult with solar panel servicers to trouble shoot/diagnose our solar system. When we called our CCA, they also recommended the same.

Leading us to consult with SolarShoppers, whom we found on yelp. Luckily I had the pleasure of speaking to Sean. I had already assumed that our panels would need to be serviced given the instructions of our utility providers and therefore was just contacting SolarShoppers to schedule a service appointment. However, to my surprise and delight, Sean actually took the time to ask questions as to why. He spent 42min on the phone with us answering our questions and deducing if our system did in fact need to be serviced. He even took the time to explain what CCA's are. Sean was very knowledgeable and clearly experienced as he was able to guide me through my electric bills through the phone and find data from past bills and current bills to determine if our solar panels were still generating power. He showed great critical thinking to acknowledge many factors to rule out or rule in the need for service. He pointed out that our bill had only gone up as expected, given the increase in utility fees, addition of electric vehicle, and increase in utilization due to the humid/hot Summer. He could've easily just scheduled an appointment and charged us the service fee of $375, however, he was honest and recommended against a service appointment unless we were interested in updating or adjusting our current solar system. He thoroughly explained the pros and cons, pointing out that we could easily increase our solar panels and add a battery wall to decrease our annual utility bill to $400 or less, however, to my surprise again Sean was honest and considered a multitude of factors to suggest for or against. He was not pushy at all, was very empathetic and logical. He showed great character, and trust worthiness. Ultimately, we decided not to add more or adjust our current solar system due to plans of moving in the near future. However, we would trust SolarShoppers to do so, because Sean truly had our best interests in mind. I was so moved by the service and satisfied with the consult that I wanted to highlight Sean's outsanding customer service and write this review. Would highly recommend SolarShoppers.

If you are looking for solar in the AV, look no further. This company is legit and worth 5 stars plus. The entire job was done in less than 2 months.
That is from the first contact to inspection and connection with SCE. Everyone that runs or works for SolarShoppers are very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to get a hold of to ask questions.
My install is so nice, my neighbors didn't even know I had solar if I didn't tell them. I started saving a lot of money from day one.
I can't recommend them enough. I hear horror stories from people using other companies and wish I was able to give them advise before they went with the wrong company.
Please do yourself a favor and call SolarShoppers if you are thinking about solar. They really know what they are doing.
Thanks again to the whole crew at SolarShoppers!

If you’re like me and are sick of stupidly high electric bills, the decision to go solar wasn’t hard — the hard decision is which solar company to trust with your solar install. I researched several big name vendors and was discouraged because it all felt pushy, overwhelming and scam-y.

That changed when I came across SolarShoppers. Not only did Shawn explain things to me like I’m an intelligent human being, he took the time to understand my family’s complicated needs before making system recommendations. He made the entire process was seamless AND I’m now getting credit back on my electric bill every month. Shawn also confirmed that we were eligible for the solar battery rebate program due to our medical baseline, which covered the cost of our solar batteries and saved us SO much money!

There are a lot of companies out there who will try to win your business - my experience taught me that there aren’t a lot that actually deserve it. SolarShoppers actually does. From one homeowner to another, I highly recommend them. Give Shawn a call and find out for yourself.

Solar Shoppers helped me with my SGIP, Tesla Batteries. Process was straight forward, I did pay the $26k upfront since I didn't want to get a loan. We got our full re-imbursement of $26k within 30 days of SGIP approval. The whole process took a little over 4 months from start to getting our money back due to required inspections and approval from city, fire, and other entities which was out of their control. Sean and Levon will guide you through the process.

We have had our solar system one year. It generated $6,250 worth of power. That's money that we would have had to pay to Edison.
Solar Shoppers did exceptional work for us. Many thanks to Levon, Shawn, and their company!
