They have come through for me in reinstalling and installing solar panels after the initial installation company completely failed. It took months to get things right and they have. Moving forward I would never hire anyone else to do my solar panel but them. Excellent communication and installation.

Daniel and the Solectric team navigated my solar installation very quickly, professionally, and cost-effective. He was able to explain the different types of panels/inverters, explain the cost, and ultimately won my business from multiple quotes due to his honesty. His finished product looks amazing, he hid the conduit behind the drain pipe where you cannot see it from the front of my house (see pictures). I highly recommend you give Daniel a call if you are looking into solar.

I have rarely had a better experience with a company. Daniel is the owner and delivered amazing service from the moment we contacted him. He presented all of the information in an easy to understand way, was honest about everything, and after seeing concept schematics for our house and deciding to go with his company, he handled literally every part of the process for us. He handled the permitting with the city, ordering the materials, was on the roof with his team for installation day of the panels and converter and tying it into the grid, did the testing, presented us the app to track our energy generation, and then handled all of the work with PG&E. After all of that, he thanked US for choosing his business! He is a genuinely great guy and a model business owner, I'm glad he's a neighbor here in West Sacramento. It's been a couple of weeks and our system is running strong - we can't wait to see our progress over the coming year. There are lots of solar companies out there, so let us just save you some time and tell you to choose Solectric - they're local, they're quality, and the service was second to none.

(Update 3/7/24) The owner Dan did a thorough investigation into my price discrepancy when he got back to the office and was able to find the issue - mistakenly some customer additions were added to the price when I had not gotten any additions, he is working with SunPower to refund the extra charge and I would like to thank him for his time and Diligence.
My bill use to be ~$300 a month and now during the summer it is $0, even off shooting the gas I use. Installers were friendly and so is the staff.

Should you go solar? Yes! Should you work with Solectric and SunPower? Not sure. I was initially very happy with my system, then in the second year I noticed some production decline. Did the obvious, washed the panels really well, started paying closer attention to my bill and the data from SunPower.

I contacted SunPower customer support they said to reset the system, worked great for a while then production tapered again. Contact customer support, reset the system, goes up, goes back down etc... numerous times. Eventually SunPower starts throwing out other possible issues, all directed at me, Internet connection, rats chewing wire etc. This is when I realize their system is not at all advanced. There is no monitoring and remote diagnostics is crude, meanwhile I have a new part time job monitoring my system and reseting. I've looked for rats and crawled around my attic testing connections. SunPower eventually tells me to go bother the installer.

Where I get to explain this all over again and field the same accusations that clearly I am wrong. Then they want me to sign a contract before they do any diagnostics, which I refuse. A tech comes out, does some software updates, agrees that something is not right, doesn't do any further tests. It was raining that day, hard to diagnose with little sun... Production taper consists, I email to schedule an appointment, appointments get cancelled. I reset production goes up, I monitor, production ceases entirely, I reset. Oh, its working great we don't need to come out... Wash rinse repeat.

I'm not happy, unfortunately you can't just unload a solar system. You are stuck with it. You buy it, it's yours. It's a collection of parts that is ultimately yours to maintain. SunPower used to have a stellar reputation, that was before the Maxeon split. Solectrec's great reviews are from older jobs. I understand the solar business has gotten tough in California, people blame the utilities rightly but it's the IBEW that has Newsom's ear as well.

Regrets? Yes, I should have been a little more patient with Tesla. Their systems are very cookie cutter, but their tech is good. In spite of all the click bait headlines I've had very good service with my six year old model 3. Now that I've had all this experience troubleshooting my system, I realize the system is really not that complicated. I'd probably build my own system, if I were to do it again. It's certainly my system now.

I was treated professionally throughout the entire process of working with Daniel and his team to install a 5.95kW Sunpower system. Daniel provided me multiple options for panels and system size. I never once felt pressured during the sales process. The team kept me updated through the entire process through installation including the city and electrical permitting/approvals. The installer team always showed up when they said they would and cleaned up after themselves.

Solectric moved our Tesla invertor for us. Their techs were responsive, easy to work with, and got the work done in a single day. We were in a bind before this, but they were able to add us to their schedule quickly. Highly recommend!

This is the third time we have added solar panels and by far our best experience!

Unlike other companies, with salespeople, then engineering, then installers (all of whom seem to have different ideas and don't talk to each other), Daniel takes charge from the beginning. Planning to final installation, he is completely involved and makes sure things go well.

Daniel made sure we got the system we need, at the best price, and even worked through the holidays to complete before Dec 31, to make sure we were able to get the tax credit for the current year.

I could not have had a better experience. Wholeheartedly endorse Daniel and his company!
