Our gate was installed several years ago. We have had several lightening strikes & guts had to be replaced. We went with someone else to do the latest strike. No surge protector had been put in. A year or so ago, one of the posts holding the gate rotted. We had to replace at our expense. The cost for even having someone come out for an estimate is very high. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Greg and Brittany provided great service on a gate and fence install at my house. The fence we wanted was not readily available over the last several months, but they persisted with the manufacturer and got it in inventory and installed it professionally. The installation crew was well supervised and courteous. They stand behind their products and are willing to do whatever they can to make the customer happy.

Met with Greg (Owner) and he helped me design the right gate for my house. Very up-front and honest! Tina, kept me updated and scheduled my install date. My gate was fabricated and was delivered and turned out better than I expected. Michael and Manual did the installation and they were professional and went beyond my expectations. I highly recommend Commercial Gates & Electric to everyone who is planning on installing an automatic gate! Excellent Company!

We have used Commercial Gates for several years. They installed the current gate and electric outlets at the gate. Both have worked fine. We also have a preventive maintenance contract with them. They service the gates and have kept them in excellent working order. Staff is friendly and courteous. The service calls are timely and efficient. The charges run to the high side but we have always gotten good service.

Let's start with the positives: the owner sounded knowledgable, his wife/accountant sounded like she was reliable, the company has been around for a long time. The downside was that the owner told me he would be doing the work on the house (which is what I requested) but in fact he simply did the initial visit to diagnose the issue. He felt the job should take 3-4 hours but also pointed out that he couldn't guarantee it which is fair and I accepted the terms. Unfortunately, he himself did not perform the work and sent out some less-experienced crew. The crew was very nice, good guys, and did accomplish something in the 8 hours they worked on our electrical problem. Specifically, of the 7 lights that blew and 10 sockets or so, they fixed a few-for $1160. Again, I understood in advance that the owner's initial diagnosis didn't mean that the 3-4 hours he quoted would actually be all that the project took so when the crew left with only some of the lights fixed I was okay with that and we planned to continue working with the company. After the crew left, I called their office and spoke to the owner's wife-who is very sweet-and explained that we wanted the owner to be the one to come back and finish (which is the person that they told us would be doing the work to begin with). She said that she was going to check with her husband and get back to us. Days passed and I didn't hear back from her so I called again. She said that she hadn't found out from her husband what he could do and she would call us back. More and more days passed so I called again and was told he would be out of town for a long time now. Never heard from her again. Called the owner. In different words he told us that we were not that important to him. He would see us in 2 months if possible. Mind you that we did not have lights in our only available bathroom, my bedroom, our dining room, and seriously hardly any electrical outlets. Let me tell you that I have NEVER talked to any business owner that was so reluctant to admit to ANY wrongdoing on his company's part. It was surreal. At the tail end of our conversation he did, albeit defensively, sort of make a concession. By the time that concession was made we knew that we wouldn't do business with a company that does not have character so it was a moot point. We just had another company come out and they explained that his crew did do some stuff right but they failed to secure a neutral. We just had this new crew leave and for $450 have everything fixed. AND WITHOUT ANY FALSE PROMISES OR GRIEF IN THE PROCESS. I see that there are positive reviews on here. I imagine that if you are an important person you might get treated better than we did but whether you are or aren't just consider how important character is and whether you are willing to cross your fingers.

Commercial Gates and electric is a great company if you need a new electric gate custom-made or maintenance done. Also installed my Generac generator that is working beautifully. Their electricians who hooked up all my outside fans and outdoor lights, good job!!Great crew, thank you so much. 👍
