I rented here for 2 years while I was in town for a job. I only stayed 2-3 days a week and they were great to work with. Very accommodating and the rent was reasonable. Quiet neighbors. Would definitely want to come back here if I was moving to the area for work again.

I would probably still be there if it weren't for moving closer to family.
It is a great complex,with wonderful neighbors.

I stayed in a fully furnished corporate apartment as traveling hospital worker. I had everything I needed. The neighbors are very quiet and friendly. I travel with my dog and Mr Stark had no problem with me being him. If I take an assignment near Mount Vernon Illinois again I will be checking to see if there is any openings here.

I've lived here for 7 months and have never had a problem. The rent is reasonable for good-size units with full amenities, and the units are very energy efficient too. The management staff and maintenance people are friendly and are quick to take care of any issues that may arise. Neighbors are generally working-class people who are friendly and respectful of each other's space. I have never had any noise issues with neighbors here. It is very quiet and reasonably safe to walk around the complex and the nearby streets after dark without incident. The apartments have been remodeled with all new appliances, carpet, windows, and upgraded bathrooms. I encourage interested parties to come see for yourselves what I am talking about.

Stayed in their corporate apartment for a few months. It's fully furnished with everything you might need. Management is very nice and willing to work with you with anything. Definitely recommend.

I travel with my job and my mom found this place for me. I have two pitbulls and Warren had no problem with them at all. It’s very hard to find anywhere to rent with my dogs breed. He was an excellent land lord and accommodated so much for us. I was able to pay rent weekly and he agreed to a 3 month lease! I absolutely loved it here and plan on staying here during my next assignment in Mount Vernon!

The apartments are new renovated and look wonderful. Also, under new management. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When there is a maintenance is, they take care of it immediately. Would recommend the apartments to anyone looking for apartments that is new to the Mt Vernon area, or just need a wonderful place to live. I needed something very quick, and they were very accommodating.

The apartments have been remodeled with new appliances, carpet, windows, etc. Management is courteous and quick to respond to whatever we may need. The location is great, sitting off the highway, giving a quiet lifestyle. We could not be more pleased with Southgate.
