I highly recommend Statewide Environmental. They are professional, and are excellent communicators.

My house was under contract and the buyer had a septic inspection done by a different company. The inspection report stated that they recommended the replacement of the system.

I called the septic company that I have been using for years and asked them what to do. They told me to contact a local engineer, which I did. The engineer told me that I needed to replace the system with a mound system, this was based only on the inspection report without them doing any independent inspection.

I was then told that the replacement system would cost close to $55K, that it would have a 1 day capacity to function without electricity and would require a pump.

The system that the house has, is gravity based, meaning that it does not need electricity. We have had it pumped every 2 years many times. The last time was only 4 months before the inspection. The system has always worked, it did not drain slowly, there was no standing water above the drain field, and there was no odor in the yard above the tank or field.

The inspection finding that the system had failed and needed to be replaced did not sit well with me since the system always worked. I found Statewide through a google search for Septic system repair. I called them, was asked to forward the inspection report to them. I was then told that there were some basic steps that were not done to accurately evaluate the condition of the system, such as draining the tank and opening the distribution box, making the evaluation questionable.

Statewide stated that my system was a good candidate for restoration with hydro jetting, and pneumatic fracturing with Terralift. It was explained that this repair process is an engineered solution that would be overseen by the Department of Health.

We had Statewide proceed with the restoration. After the repair was completed, they performed a hydraulic load test on the system, which means they ran hundreds of gallons of water through the system without issue, across several days. The water was absorbed by the drain / leach field.

The repair and load test were verified and approved by the department of health. This was a successful repair.

The service provided far exceeded our expectations! Brendt is an expert in his field and very easy to work with. If you need any septic work then I would highly recommend Statewide who are one of the very few companies who are registered with the State on New Jersey. If you are looking for a company that is honest, and knowledgeable in a field where there are many misconceptions then Statewide is well worth your consideration.

Great company. I was selling my parents farmhouse property and needed the septic system inspected. Brendt Carracino from Statewide Environmental Services arrived at the site on 10/23, and found the septic system to be root bound and basically not working. He and his team put together a plan to correct the problem, and did so in a most professional manner. I am a retired commercial loan officer, and have dealt with environmental issues on many occasions. I had the most fantastic and rewarding experience with Brendt, the owner. He is very honest and knowledgeable. The septic pump alarm went off and I called him on a weekend but was told he doesn't provide septic pump related service. He stayed in contact with us and guided us with troubleshooting the issue until it was resolved. It was a float problem. He saved us from unnecessary costly repairs. You don't see this quality service any more. I would definitely recommend him for any septic systems issues.

Several years ago I bought a house, and began experiencing septic problems shortly after. Had several companies look at it, all suggesting full system replacement. Luckily I came across Statewide and had them look at it. Very professional and came out prompt. Recommended a procedure that we decided to do which solved the backing up issue we were having. 2 years later we had a full inspection done on the septic because we were having the house appraised and it was required. System was deemed 100% functional and operational also since hiring statewide we’ve had zero problems. Saved us thousands of dollars. Strongly recommend this company.

In business, when you find a good vendor, you hold onto them because they don't come along often! Statewide and Brendt are those who are irreplaceable to my team. They're quick with their assessment and also extremely honest. When I have a tough issue with septics, Brendt immediately puts my mind at ease. He knows the book when it comes to septic systems. Don't fall for other companies who just want to take your money on a new system. Talk to Brendt first. Most of the time, systems can repaired. I had customer who got quotes for a 6 figure septic job and Brendt was able to offer solutions for 90% less. You just don't find people like him anymore. This is my first Google Review and believe in sharing of the best (or the worst) quality services experienced.

With that, as a person who typically conducts much research in wanting to select and spend money on the best rated quality products and services, and as a first time home buyer, I wanted to ensure I was finding an inspector who would be honest, fair, extremely qualified/experienced, and a business owner who is also empathetic to the customer and their needs.
Brendt (owner) and Richie met all the above factors and more, and made the entire experience of not only septic inspections but general home buying a much more easeful process.
We could have easily and unknowingly paid more for services due to our inexperience and lack of knowledge in septic use and ownership, yet Brendt was extremely transparent, fair, and recommended next steps as if he was evaluating his own septic. Brendt's background of being a previous investigator experiencing fraudulent business owners in the same field placed an additional peace of mind in the whole process.
I could go on how helpful Brendt and Richie have been not only in the septic inspection process but general expertise on a wide array of environmental and home related (probably many more) topics, but hopefully this entire review will help someone else in a similar position as myself and my husband feel 100% confident in Brendt, Richie, and the overall services Statewide provides. I would not be willing to put my name on this otherwise.
