My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area and we have been playing golf at Stillwater’s at least 4 times a week. We absolutely love the course! It is so beautiful and the fairways and greens are well maintained. The owner is clearly making a lot of much needed improvements to the bunkers. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the marshal is a sweetheart. We both recently got memberships because the junior rates are extremely reasonable. Highly recommend you play this course because their nonmember rates are incredibly low.

This course is under new management now and it's already day and night difference from just a couple months ago. The front 9 greens have been patched and are growing in nicely.

They have all brand new high end carts, and are making tons of improvements to the bunkers. They even lowered the price to justify the condition as they make improvements.

They're even clearing another 9 holes that they planning to reopen in as soon as 3 months. This is a great track at this price and the conditions are improving weekly.

You can tell they're putting a lot of money and energy into making these improvements and getting it back up to shape quick. In the past it was sad to see the course being let go but that's not the case now.

I highly recommend playing here, it's a really fun layout that you have to use strategy to plan your shots out. And at this price it's a great deal! it's getting better week after week, defintely check it out!

EDIT: I’m coming back here a year later to change my review because the management changed and the course/greens are in MUCH better condition. The price was also lowered to a more reasonable rate.

I don't want to leave a negative review because I used to love this course, but charging $61 to play on these greens is ridiculous. At least mention it to people before they go out there. I just want people to be aware of the conditions because I wasn't. Lower your price or fix the greens.

We are 100+ stroke golfers. Narrow fairways ate up our balls. Greens were tough. Fairly well kept up course. Great price for Thursday morning with a cart. As an out of town visitor, we had a great time and would go back.

My golf buddy and I played this course in January and it was in such poor condition that we said we would never be back. The greens were dirt and mold and the tee boxes were uncut and the fairways were unkempt. We heard that the course had been bought and was under new management so we decided to try again. What a difference. The greens were in good condition and obviously recently patched with new sod. The fairways were immaculate and the tee boxes were in the best condition I have ever seen; although I wish the management would level the gold/red tee box for hole #15. I have played this course for about 12 years and it was in such disrepair last year and early this year; but what they have done in such a short time is phenomenal. I gave them 4 stars because there is some work to do but I give them 5 stars for effort. Please advise everyone who reads this review to go play this course and support the new owners/managers. This course is important to the community and can be a treasure for all of us to enjoy.

After reading the reviews I was a bit skeptical about going up to play this course. I'm glad I did go, the course was in good shape and the greens on the back 9 were really good. The greens on the front weren't that great but they were way better than some of the pictures that were posted. Brian in the pro shop was very courteous. I will definitely be back to play later in the year.

I should’ve listened to the previous reviews but instead decided to give it a try. That was a mistake. The course has gotten away from them. Greens are gone, bunkers are just pits, debris that just hasn’t been picked up, a sinkhole in the middle of a fairways. This is beyond just bad weather. It’s a shame as I’ve played this course for the last few years each Father’s Day at the lake and always looked forward. Will drive to Auburn next time. It’s a scam to charge full price.

Would have been an absolute 5 star rating. But I got rushed on my 12th hole in due to a tournament being played. I was given a rain check for 9 holes. But the fact that I don't get many opportunities to come out and fully enjoy myself and when I do, I end up being rushed and losing out on a full day of golfing bc they want to have a tournament on fathers day weekend! Beautiful course, staff was professional and courteous. No complaints there. Just disappointed I could fully enjoy a complete game without being rushed.
