The process of obtaining a climate controlled unit was flawless. I was able to obtain a unit close to the entrance of the building. The lady who helped me in at the Huntley, IL facility was amazing. Prices are great & I’m very pleased. Would recommend this company to anyone.

Being unsure what size I needed, I was able to walk through and pick a unit with enough room for everything I was storing. The move in process was flawless, quickly signing all of the documents from my phone and receiving my unit and lock information.

The only barrier that I ran into is that my lock isn’t compatible with my unit. Of course I arrived late after business hours and have to wait until the next day, which is on me. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly, and the unit was spotless!

Started off over a year ago at this location. At that time the place was great, however in the last 6 months it has slowly declined. I submitted pictures for a claim due to a leaking roof and so far have been ignored on both the claim and fixing the leak, the roof still leaks. It's winter so it hasn't mattered lately due to the cold. Now they are raising rates after I was told I was locked into my rate.

Let me be specific about my reason for a 1 star rating. It's customer service. The unit was very clean and very safe. No issues there at all. We followed all the rules that were required for turning in the lock and move-out of the unit. That was almost a month ago. We've been told 3 times it's been handled, yet still continue to get bills and no one seems to be able to stop the calls and texts from coming.

Suffered a loss of personal property from a flood at the facility. The problem... it took 3 days for them to notify me of the incident. By the time I was notified, the damage to artwork and business records was done. These items are not covered by their insurance. Pictures shows storm damage never fixed since June of 23, and the door leading to my indoor unit has been broken for well over a year. StorSafe doesn't care about their facility or those who rent there.

They get you in at such a reduced rate that you take the bait! I totally enjoyed the convenience of being able to come and go as I please. However, sending me a letter dated December 1st and not receiving it until the 14th of December, telling me my rent is going up 44% on January 1st rubbed me the wrong way!!! I moved all my things out of there yesterday!! Will NEVER use them again!!

Everyone that I have worked with at StorSafe has been so helpful. I had to change my unit to a larger size and they were great at making sure that the larger unit was close to my current unit so that the move would be easier. Thanks! Very clean facility too.
