They are in fact an FPL contractor. They check the electrical disconnect equipment that fpl has installed on various appliances that the homeowner gets a discount for. I had an appointment for 2-5 today. The guy showed up without warning at 830am. Fools.

These people are scammers. They said they had to come to my house to monitor FPL equipment that they couldn't find the signal for. I told them I had to call FPL to confirm this information. She said I'll give you the #. I said, No, I will call them myself from the # that I have.

This company claims to be an FPL contractor and request to come to your house to audit FPL equipment. They are in fact not. an FPL contractor, they are scammers. FPL has issued a fraud alert for this company. and here's what FPL says:

Unsolicited Energy Audit Calls
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) filed legal action to stop an aggressive marketing scheme targeting customers of FPL and other Florida utilities. The group may have also posed as employees of FPL or approved FPL contractors in order to conduct home energy audits and sell energy-related services or equipment. If you or someone you know received calls or visits of this nature, contact the FDACS Consumer Assistance Call Center at 800helpfla.com or by calling 1-800-HELP-FLA. Read the announcement from FDACS. Received a call from this guys and they are a scam. Be warehouses people and do the report. If we let group like this keep doing those calls, we are just helping.
