I would strongly recommend Sunwood biomass to anyone looking to replace a heating system. These guys clearly know their stuff when it comes to heating with wood (pellet or cord wood). Dave and Marc (the owners) are extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced. After Dave came to my home for a site visit in September, I immediately knew that I had called the right company. I never even looked at other pellet boiler retailers/installers after that visit. He answered all of my questions and made all of my requests possible. In addition to being friendly and easy to work with, Dave is also very knowledgeable and up to date with all of the Vermont rebates available to buyers. He helped us save a ton of money on our purchase without any snags or red tape. I was shocked and thrilled when he told me they would be able to do the installation for this years heating season on such short notice! Marc is the other owner and he did the installation of the OkoFen pellematic boiler that Dave had recommended for our home. Marc and his crew had our new boiler up and running in only a couple days and they did not skip any of the important details. He was easily able to connect the new boiler to the complicated wiring the previous owner had installed. Marc also connected the system to run on our Honda generator in case of a power outage situations which is extremely important where we live. Marc is the mechanical expert who knows how to setup the heating systems they sell perfectly. In short, this company has met and surpassed all of my expectations and I recommend that people who are interested call Dave right away to set up a site visit.

I chose SunWood because of the time and care Dave Frank took with me, the expertise that was clearly on display, and the fact that he worked to educate me and not just sell me a system.

That level of service even before the sale made a big impression on me. I had three other estimates in hand before I met with Dave, but no other contractor (all well rated on the web) did what he did, including ensuring that the system was sized right for our home and heating needs.

Kudos to the SunWood team that installed our new Evergreen boiler. They were polite, easy-going, efficient, knew their stuff, and helped me to understand the system.

In 2007 SunWood Biomass installed our first pellet boiler. It ran flawlessly for 13 years. When looking to upgrade to an automated unit, we returned to this company. David Frank, one of the co-owners, carefully walked us through all of the options and also offered to take care of filing for several rebates associated with the installation. The pricing on the equipment and installation was extremely competitive. The other co-owner, Marc DiMario, took care of the installation. His work was meticulous. His knowledge of the equipment was very sophisticated. When I experienced one issue during the installation my call to him was answered at 9:30 PM. Both owners have continued to be immediately responsive to all of my questions. The unit was installed a month ago and has run flawlessly. I recommend SunWood Biomass without any reservation.

I had been researching pellet boilers for more than a year. It was suggested that I contact Sunwood Biomass as they carry MeSys pellet furnace. I am very glad I did. From the moment I contacted them I was at ease knowing I had contacted the right company. Frank explained everything in words I could understand not using terminology I needed a degree to know. He went through everything step by step and answered my many questions with ease. He even took care of all the paperwork with the rebates offered to me. Marc the other half of the owner team arrived and was very good at answering my many more questions. They did an amazing job with the installation even though I have a very old home with very small spaces. He even let me call him after hours just to go over the running of my furnace.
