I bought a $15,000 solar system from Tandem. The system took a month to arrive -- because they put it on hold, and didn't tell me about it until I called to inquire. I've since done an inventory, and found a couple items missing. This is not a surprise in a large order. However what is a surprise is Tandem's total unwillingness to fix it. They have totally ghosted me. 5 emails, 3 phone calls, over 3 weeks, unanswered.

My goal for 2018 was to install solar. I didnt intend to do it so rushed in January, but thanks to the Trump tariff (sigh..), I had to accelerate the plans. I am a do-it-yourself kind of guy and naturally none of the turn key installers would answer my questions.

However, as mentioned in the other reviews here, Greg and Sean were SUPER helpful, Greg spent 1+ hour combined on the phone with me, answering questions, making recommendations, etc etc.

Then comes price. Yeah..BEST PRICE on the entire web and they are right in my back yard. Could not get better than that. They are a small business just like myself, and I am happy to support them and send them all the business from friends and family. These folks know what they are talking about, do NOT push into buying things you dont need, AND have excellent pricing. These guys are rockstars of DIY Solar, I am super happy to have come across them.

Highly recommend for all solar issues! This company was by far the most helpful, efficient, reliable, and cost effective! I wanted to replace my inverter and tried to use several other companies. All of which were terrible! Tandem came through and did an amazing job! I especially appreciate Leif Sessle, electrician with Swede Electric, who did a fantastic job installing my inverter. Hopefully I won’t need them again any soon, but I have confidence if I do they will be there for me! Thank you again to the team, great work!!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Tandem. I am in the Bay Area and the order was shipped quickly and efficiently. I got exactly what I was looking for and the price was very reasonable. I had a slight mixup on an ordered item and Tandem resolved that issued very quickly as well.

I am a self-installer and I price shopped quite a bit. Tandem's shipping was a bit more, but the lower prices balanced everything out. I considered driving down and picking the parts up, but in the end, I am glad that I got them shipped. It was just faster and easier.

I encourage everyone who feels any inclination to install their own system to look over Tandem well and to ask them to quote your parts. This is my second installation and I know I'm not done (too many friends and I'm too stupid to say no). Next time around Tandem will be my first stop.

Sean from Tandem Solar Systems is a pro at what he does in every sense of the word. he was excellent at evaluating of our solar needs and recommending the companies and products we should use. As we are doing the installation on our own he was a great help. He was always available to answer questions. I received my order as promised quickly and professionally delivered and the prices are the best for sure as I did some serious research. I would recommend Tandem Solar again in a heartbeat!
