I usually am given a receipt. I was only in the area because I was going to East Texas crisis center. Not that the care of the man threatening my life with guns knows where I am at. However I had to renew my children's Medicaid. That is more important to me than food stamps. I pray one day someone wants to see me free from domestic violence. My life doesn't matter.

Called the day of an appointment because I had strep and couldn’t go. Got voicemail and gave them all the info I could at the time and they proceeded to tell me I didn’t call and cut my stuff off. I spent the next month trying to get ahold of people and they told me they can’t help me because I called a month after. They were very rude and dismissive through the entire process and if I wanted results I would have to call other offices and get transferred over. So now I can’t find a job AND I lost my benefits.

One of the rudest and most dismissive experiences I’ve ever had. I saw before driving up there that they only had 2 stars and from what I can tell that’s still too high. Everyone there seems miserable and unwilling to be even remotely kind no matter how patient and considerate you are with them. When I walked in I was attempting to sign in when the man behind the window said “ma’am you can come on over whenever you’re ready.” Mind you there was only one other lady besides myself in the waiting area and since he couldn’t be bothered to raise his head and look in the direction of who he was speaking to I was unsure if he was speaking to me or not. I paused and asked if he was speaking to me and he snapped saying that yes he was talking to me. I walked to him and he asked what I needed help with, I began to explain that I had some questions regarding a form that I had to fill out. He stops me and says that it was very easy to understand, there was nothing confusing about it, that they made everything very simple and easy so there shouldn’t be an issue. I never even got my paperwork unfolded or let a single question come out of my mouth before he dismissed the struggle I was having, made me feel as though I’m stupid and made it clear that he wasn’t intending on helping me any further. Even if he was, he was beyond rude and I wasted a trip. I don’t see how anyone there still has a job, I could never be that rude to someone for literally zero reason, I don’t care how much I hated the job.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Spoke with a customer service representative and they were rude as all get out. Any time I tried to speak they'd cut me off. Employees need to do better.

Went to just drop off paperwork. Me and one other person in the office waiting very patiently while the "employees" in there, just sat that chatting up a storm, never acknowledged either if us, half hour later they finally just said " next". Very rude and inconsiderate.i don't ever want to have to go into that office again. Bad vibes to say the least. If you don't like your job, leave..

Worst customer service ever! After being on hold for over an hour this gentleman answers nice at first but when I asked if money will be on my card today her said” ma’am you are not listening to me I just told you what was going to happen” got a whole attitude with me and told me to have a great day and hung up.

UPDATE Nov 15: I had to go into the office after not receiving a Snap card (applied on Sept. 20), I got the card today ... almost 2 months!!!! Truly incompetent staff!!!
Absolutely horrible, I applied for SNAP online on Sept. 20 and still nothing (now Oct 27). I can't get any status from anywhere. Infinite loop to 211 when I call to get a status. I'm broke, no food, I can only go to a food pantry once every 2 months I can't go again till late Nov. I've gone into the office and confirmed I'd given them everything, now they want a confirmation form from my previous employer that I don't work for them (?), I whistleblowed on them so they won't cooperate. How is this possible that they let the disabled elderly go hungry while they drag their incompetent feet?
