I’ve been a resident of The Flamingo Apartments for the past three years, and I’ve created a cozy, comfortable space in my studio apartment that truly feels like home. The management team is consistently present on scheduled days and always ready to assist residents with any issues that arise. The maintenance staff is prompt and efficient, responding quickly to repair and maintenance requests.

The building itself is well-kept, with clean common areas that are accessible to all residents. The well-favored community of Hyde Park is a densely populated area, as such, from time to time, the Flamingo has occasional pest issues, such as mice and bed bugs, but the management promptly addresses these through a reliable pest control service.

Although I don’t drive, I’ve noticed that parking is available for residents, and the outdoor areas are well-maintained and beautifully landscaped.

What really stands out about The Flamingo is its strong sense of community. Management fosters a welcoming and friendly atmosphere among the residents. Its location in Hyde Park, one of Chicago’s premier neighborhoods, is another major highlight. The building is right on the stunning lakefront, with the Museum of Science and Industry, shops, restaurants, and various businesses all within walking distance.

Living here means being part of a walkable and vibrant community, with easy access to public transportation, including buses, trains, and ride-sharing options.

Overall, I highly recommend The Flamingo Apartments to anyone looking for a well-maintained, community-oriented building in an amazing location. It’s a fantastic place to call home!

Hello, I’m a caregiver/homemaker/nurse for my client that stays in this building. This building is horrible. The dryers and washers go out every other day. Currently the washers and dryers are not working and the woman in the office says the person that suppose to fix it won’t be here for two days. The elevators goes out, the apartments building have horrible electricity, they have bad maintenance that just glue everything down to the point I’ll need assistance again in a few days. This is ridiculous. I wouldn’t move into this building even if it was the only building that have openings. Save your time and money.

I've been here a couple of months, and I love my studio apartment! The Flamingo truly feels like home. Michelle is amazing and kind. The maintenance staff is efficient and also kind! I have no issues with finding a parking spot ever. I would recommend living here and I hope to be here another year! I can't wait to use the pool in the summer!

Set up an appointment through their website for a showing of an apartment. Even called the customer service number the day of to confirm because no one was answering the phone. They assured me someone would be there to show me the apartment. Drove over an hour in traffic and bad weather only to be stood up. No communication at all. I would have happily rescheduled for another time if told beforehand.

I’ve really enjoyed having daarina as property Manager so far she has handle every problem that I had and is very pleasant about it as well… I appreciate that I can come to her about any concern and she makes me feel heard… Kya is very friendly and welcoming and the maintenance team does a really good job.

Been living in this apartment for almost a year now, love everything about this place so far. At first there were a lot of room for improvement, but since Ms.Daarina took over as a senior property manager, you can see the instant changes for the better. I mean how could you say no to a building with a pool, a great lake view, quick maintenance, a gym and security. This place is perfect for all seasons, it’s beautiful. And with her new management, nothing to complain.
