All the prep and installation went really well. We went to the office found out about the products and what the process was. The installation timeline went well. when installing the boxes on our house, one was put in the wrong place according to code and it was moved, leaving some extra holes in our siding. In the end they credited us 400 dollars for this, but I guess I wish they would have just fixed it. I doubt I will find anyone to replace just several pieces of siding.. problems after installation, There was an issue with our gateway, caused our power to go out. When I called Green Panel, they blamed it on DTE. Told me there is NEVER an issue with the gateway. I was away, my wife was home alone. I had to come home, and was insistant on them coming out the next day. The gateway was faulty. I found it annoying that I had to go through all that just to get to the bottom of it. Took a couple weeks to get a new one, it was installed and system has been working good since. Unfortunately our connection to DTE wasnt completed till the end of Novemeber, so we havn't realized great savings yet....cloudy days, snow, LOL. I am anxious for spring to get here so we can see just how well this works. Everything was installed well, less the extra holes, and we are happy with the system now. Everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly. I mention the little details that I didn't like because this is an expensive investment, and I am just trying to be complete. Overall we are happy with the job, the system, and the people we worked with. I would recommend them again, I like the idea that they have a store that is local, and you can go there and talk to someone. Others we contacted for an estimate were pretty much just online. I wanted to see the products, and talk to somebody in person. Green Panel allows you the opportunity to do this.

Very happy with the end result. I signed the contract July 16th. The install happened over two days at the end of August. The electric company gave us permission to operate on October 1. Any issues that arose were resolved with efficiency and professionalism. My hat is off to this team.

Every single interaction I had with Green panel has been professional, timely, courteous, and kind. I had begun with a different company, and experienced a couple drops in communication, so I began talking with green panel and could not be happier I eventually went with them. Most importantly, the solar system works phenomenally, and we have not had any Issues related to its performance. Even when I’ve had questions or small issues as I learned my way around the system, they have showed up to address it, and walk me through what I needed. One of the best customer experiences I’ve had overall, which I’m grateful for given the scale of this project. Could not more highly recommend green panel. The design engineer spent time with me to understand my desires and special circumstances of having recently acquired an EV car and air to air heat pump. My questions were always answered, and in that process I received several proposals showing the different options and associated costs. Installation was done with very high quality work. After a whole year of usage I am very satisfied with the quality and results of the whole project, which consisted of installing Solar Panels, a SPAN control Panel, and Tesla batteries. It was a big step to upgrading my 25 year old house to the latest technology.

The Green Panel installed 16 panels and a backup battery to help us with energy independence. It took a while, but they even got a zoning variance from the city so we could have some street facing panels for improved production. Their crews were competent, friendly, and very professional. Passed all inspections on the first try. I will recommend them to anyone without reservation.

The Green Panel was good to work with and I'd certainly recommend them. Mark Cryderman was my sales contact and was especially patient and helpful throughout the project planning.

Initially I wanted panels on my roof, but it's angled the wrong way. Then I considered ground-mounted panels that are essentially a few feet off the grass, but my wife vetoed that idea. In the end we contracted the construction of a pergola-style wooden structure in our yard that's the right dimensions to hold 7.2kW worth of panels (24 panels at 300 watts each). Once that was built The Green Panel came out and installed the panels, trenched to the house and ran the DC electrical wiring into the basement where they had mounted the DC-AC inverter, and tied that into my electrical panel. The work was all done just as I had requested, and I'm pleased with the project. In all it wasn't particularly expensive. Even though I had them do the trenching, bought an oversized inverter for future growth, and had them run an electrical circuit/outlet out to the pergola, the entire cost after the federal tax credit was about $14,500. With a 10-year loan through the Michigan Saves program, my payment is roughly what my electricity bill formerly was, so now I have the solar setup I wanted and it feels nearly free. In ten years the electricity it makes will truly BE free, and with a 25-year warranty, I'm confident this was a good move.

Green Panel installed 2 Solar Panel Systems for me 5 years ago. They installed additional panels a year later to both systems to provided additional power for each house — based on the first year’s usage. They have also provided warranty service on a couple of occasions recently. In every case they have provided excellent service. Their employees are knowledgeable, conscientious, cooperative, and provide their services as and when promised. They have gone the extra mile by spending significant extra time working with the panel supplier to be certain that everything was working properly. I highly recommend Green Panel as a quality vendor and as a great company to work with.
