We had NL Group re-grade and seed our yard after we removed an old pool deck. They were very professional and did a great job. Our yard looks great and you wouldn't even know it had been just sand and gravel. The team was very nice and made sure the job was perfectly done. I highly recommend NL group for any landscaping project you might have.

After talking with many Hardscape/Patio contractors, we made the decision to work with NL Group for rebuilding our patio. Throughout the process Eddie and the NL team were true professionals. Commercially, they provide a fair value. Technically, they are very strong in using best practices, materials and methods in building a solid patio.

They where very helpful throughout the process from design, material selection, and build with Eddie making multiple trips and design updates to finalize the plan.

The execution, managed by Carlos and team were flawless. It was a pleasure to watch true professionals executing their craft.

Overall we are very satisfied with the results and would absolutely recommend them to anyone.

We used NL landscape for decades at our previous home on an acre lot in Deer Park. I cannot speak highly enough of the incredible service provided by Alex and the rest of the company over the 30 years we lived there.

We are now in a condo in Evanston so no longer in need of any of the tasks they helped us with over the years - mowing - weeding - mulch delivery and spreading - shrub trimming - trimming low tree branches - spring and fall cleanups - removal of tons of pea gravel and a railroad tie border left at the far back lot of our acre lot left from an old swingset - dead tree and shrub removal - reseeding sparse lawn areas - brick walkway powerwashing/sealing and repair - and much more I'm probably forgetting! Oh and snowplowing!

And just remembered another one - after the kids were grown and gone they also removed our old basketball hoop that was encased in cement. I'll remember more after I click submit of course. Attached pic is of our old home in Deer Park which Alex and crew cared for over the 30 years we lived there.

Bottom-line - this group will bend over backwards to do whatever you ask. The best of the best.

Professional, accommodating and dependable! I called them last minute before a very bad storm. A very sweet, young lady answered and got me quotes within 30 minutes. They squeezed me in and showed up every time it snowed. Being my quote was over the phone and not in writing my bill did not reflect the quoted prices. I called them and they adjusted the bill immediately. Get the quote in writing so there are no misunderstandings. I highly recommend them!

I've used NL Group before and just for trimming hedges. Their communication has gotten worse. No one ever answered the phone at the main number so I always had to leave a message which meant telephone tag. When they make a mistake, they are willing to try to make it right but that's an added burden to scheduling. The results this time were disappointing; I was surprised they left the hedge looking like it did. I was even more surprised when they didn't follow up again to try to make it right.

RE: Your response. I never spoke to Alex. He left a message. When I tried to call again, I would have had to have left a message so didn't because I'd been burned by that. I wrote a note when I paid the bill to reiterate my frustration and just figured I'd have to put up with the raggedy hedge until it started to grow out.

When I first scheduled with NL, I had to play telephone tag any time I called but when I did talk to someone I asked her if NL Group does fencing because I want to see about removing the hedge and replacing it next year, but told her specifically I needed to be home when the landscapers came. She didn't have a day for the landscapers yet, but then left a message about when they would come. I left a message that the day needed to be rescheduled. That was the message they said they missed. I left a message when I got back from vacation and saw they had come anyway; their work wasn't great. Then Alex called and left a message offering to come out to fix it on a day that wasn't convenient and that was that. I did not return his call because I was on a deadline for my own work and didn't have the patience for more telephone tag.

At this point, I'm done with this hedge and looking for estimates to have it removed and replaced with arborvitae, though probably not this year. NL Group is welcome to submit an estimate.

Very happy with the work Alex and team did on a new paver patio a few years ago. We have recommended NL group to several people since.
We have also used their services to repair a 15 year old patio on another property and it looks as good as new. Highly recommend for professional service and timely completion of job! We picked NL group for the first job after receiving multiple competitor quotes. NL group was the most reasonably priced of them all!

After noticing the NL Group trucks in the neighborhood I thought I would call and get a second estimate on a paver sidewalk/porch we needed repaired. Alex answered my call immediately and while I had him, asked for estimates on additional work we are considering. While their estimate was slightly higher than the first, I was impressed with response time, design, and communication...over and above other contractors I have used in the past. NL Group did an outstanding job, extremely professional, neat, and treated my job like it was a custom project.

Rob was exceptional in all aspects of our multiple projects. The design was creative and innovative. For our first project we had designs and quotes done by multiple companies. NL’s design was the best of all and the price was by far better than the others. We did not sacrifice quality for the savings. NL did an impeccable job, working through bad weather and always on time. After a big rain storm, they had to hand empty a flooded area that had been dug l out the day before. They didn’t miss a beat.

I have had so many friends, neighbors, and even strangers ask who did our work. It is very impressive! After the first project we decided not to bother with designs and quotes from other companies. NL is our go to! They are also responsive post project when issues arise and creative with solutions. I highly recommend them! Rob is the best!
