Went for Chicago Restaurant week and throughly enjoyed my experience. We had a bit of a wait despite having a reservation but was made up for by a complimentary drink and appetizer. Truly wonderful service. The food was excellent and came out perfectly timed. My favorite was the vodka pasta which was even better than I was expecting. I am glad I got to go for restaurant week to try multiple dishes and will definitely be back for the deviled eggs, pasta, and lemon cake.

I got egg white omelette and my friends ordered breakfast burritos and cinnamon rolls.
The food was tasty, and the ingredients were fresh!
The cinnamon rolls were warm and delicious.
The staff were friendly, and the service was great. The only downside was the latte—it was served with messy, uneven foam instead of proper latte art.

This is my second time dining here and I was thoroughly pleased just as the first. My server Eric was nothing short of amazing. Very warm, welcoming and personable. His cinnamon roll recommendation was top notch. A definite must try! Eric also recommended the breakfast pizza. Man ole man it is exceptional. Another absolute must try. Great restaurant overall! Beautiful atmosphere. Great service. Great food. Highly recommend.

Love the design of this place! So airy and elegant. The colors of grey and créame. Their dishes were fancy and beautiful. The food however, I felt like wasn’t worth the price. I ordered a harvest salad with steak. Steak addition was $16 for 4 tiny cut up pieces (which came out way too rare when I asked for medium). The server was very kind and did everything we asked, but I feel like the value wasn’t there for the price they were charging.
Their teas were loose leaf and delicious and had the cutest little bear honey to go container which I loved.

Overall I think it’s nice looking but could do some upgrading to their food

Can’t complain about anything. Very good roasted chicken and portion for that was pretty big! It came with a small side of mash potato. The mushroom and eggplant was tasty! But I’d come back for that chicken. The ambiance was so pretty for a date night. And we had a great server! Always made sure our water was full and checked up on us if we needed anything.

A recent work stay brought me to Chicago, and of course this California girl sought out California cuisine! The Oakville Grill & Cellar is reminiscent of Rutherford Grill in Napa Valley... right down to the grilled artichoke and diner-style oval plates. I visited on a Monday night around 8pm, and had no trouble finding a solo seat at the bar. The bartenders were hospitable, and provided solid menu recommendations in between fun conversation.

The grilled artichoke was exceptional! I had a giggle when they quietly set down artichoke-eating instructions next to the plate... this was not my first rodeo, Oakville. The costa mesa salad was good, but not particularly memorable. I enjoyed a slow-paced meal, while sipping a fantastic 9 oz pour of pinot noir, and was kindly offered a "tiny 'tini" when I declined dessert.

Seriously, what a gem! I would come back in a heartbeat, and likely will next time work brings me to the Windy City.
