We have ordered several cakes from Toni's and are always impressed with not only their flavor and impressive designs, but also their top notch customer service! When we called about a gender reveal cake (which another bakery would not do) last minute, they took the order no problem. They offer a variety of flavor options for cakes and make ordering a breeze. They've even hand delivered a cake once when we had a communication mixup. Most recently they made a mermaid cake for my daughter's 5th birthday which was gorgeous! We received so many compliments on it and had parents asking where it was from. I always look forward to coming into the bustling but cozy bakery. Their staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend Toni's!

This was my first visit to the cafe. I absolutely love the decor and atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor seating areas. They offered several choices for a savory snack or breakfast. My mother does not eat meat so she was excited to see a couple choices to choose from as well. The drink menu had many choices as well and my mother ordered a decaf coffee but worker said they did not have any brewed and instead of brewing some, one reason for the four stars, she offered her a decaf espresso. I ordered a blood orange Arnold Palmer. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant sandwich and my mother ordered an apple streusel. We both enjoyed our food and drinks. The other reason for four stars instead of five is that we received our drinks immediately but then sat and sat and sat waiting for our food items which I believe the lady taking a order forgot. I had to go back to the counter and asked her how do we get our food and she said oh I'll get it for you. She then made two more drinks before bringing us two items that she just basically took out of the case and put in a bag. She didn't even warm up the sandwich so I thought it was a little bizarre that she could not have just taken those two items out prior to that and gave them to us. So we actually sat for some time waiting for her to pull two items out of the case to hand them to us. I literally think she forgot our order and just didn't remember to give them to us until I reminded her. Had I not, we probably wouldn't have got them, so other than that our service was okay. If you're in a hurry and there's a line, probably not the best place to go. We were not in a hurry so the line wait was okay. It's a cute place to meet for a drink or a quick breakfast. If you need to order a cake, or get a cookie or pastry gift this place would be nice for that as well.

I ordered a variety of desserts for a sweets table for my baby’s first birthday party including a 2 tier cake and sugar cookies with her name on it. When I received the invoice from Montana, I noticed it was spelled wrong so I emailed her to correct it and she assured to me that she corrected it in her notes for the decorators. When I picked up the food, the spelling is incorrect. They were not able to fix it since the decorators were gone for the day. The lady at the register tried to fix it. She happily gave me the piping bag since I was already running late. While she did refund me 25% of what I paid for, which by the way I think the cake and cookies should’ve been free although I did not have time to discuss that, it was still very very disappointing that I had a cake that kinda looked bad and it’s very noticeable in pictures. The cake was also much sweeter than normal. I’ve been a customer for a few years now and I’ve surprisingly tolerated the rudeness of some employees because the specific cake I always order is just unmatched, but I can only take so much…..

I’m disappointed with my recent experience. As background, I used to visit Toni’s Chicago location regularly, and their white chocolate mousse cake is my favorite. I was saddened to learn that they closed the Chicago spot, and since I moved out of state, I’ve been craving that cake. During a recent trip to Chicago, I made plans to visit their Hinsdale location.
The streets nearby were closed due to construction, so I had to walk to the store. Once there, I placed my order. I clearly remember asking for the white chocolate cake and a Florentine quiche, both to-go. The staff member even asked if I wanted raspberry sauce for the cake, to which I said yes.
To my surprise, when I opened my order on the way back to ORD, I found a chocolate cake instead of the white chocolate cake I ordered. Additionally, the quiche was cold and required heating in the oven. I was never asked whether I wanted it warmed, so I assumed it was ready to eat.

We are so glad we had our wedding cake from Toni! It was delicious, our guests are still talking about it weeks later. It also looked great and exactly like we wanted. Delivery all went smoothly too. In the planning process, Montana was super helpful and always responded quickly. We also ordered some cookie trays to put out with our late night snack and those were great too. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants a cake that tastes delicious!
