James and Heather at Try-Tech are the stand up folks that I wish the world had more of. James answered all of my many questions throughout the purchase process. His extensive experience helped us as he had so many great ideas to make it turn out better than I had imagined. He delivered the product to our house in a timely manner. When it came time to install I had a handful of questions as our build was fairly complex and large. He was always quick to respond with advice and answers. Not a "got my money and my part is done kind of guy." Truly stands behind his product and wants the customer to be happy as well. We are absolutely thrilled with our transformed patio! James at Try-Tech knows the product and what it takes to provide a complete package.
I removed a wooden trellis that had paint falling off and some dryrot. I elected to use the 3 inch insulated panels knowing that the finished product is superior in heat transfer and it can be walked on to clean if necessary.
The demo was about 2 days and the install of 14 foot wide and 15.5 foot projection took 3 days working alone.
The 3 inch thick panels were heavier than I thought they would be and where therefore difficult to handle alone. So, it took a day longer than expected.
Done, looks great, no more maintenance, painting, or dryrot.

This kit came with everything you need! The alumiglow lights are perfect, can be very bright or low for ambiance. Very good directions are included and the aluminum is thick and sturdy. Much more than we expected and saved us so much money! Also we have never seen such great customer service, if we had a question at any time in our progress during building we had answers very quickly! Tri-Tech patios will be the only business we will ever use to buy a patio cover again.

Last year I had a landscape designer develop plans for my back yard. They did a lot of the work then, but due to budgeting, the patio cover was not part of the work. Earlier this year I was able to use some saved money to finally add the patio cover. Unfortunately, the quotes were a bit high. I had seen companies list Alumawood kits for the DIY market and figured I had enough building skill to take it on. I contacted a few different companies about ordering a kit and got several replies. One common point from all the quotes was that the patio cover would be manufactured about 15 miles from my house. I could pick it up and save money on delivery.

Before committing to any one company, my wife and I compared the quotes and saw there were somewhat drastic price differences between them. I was surprised to see about a 15-20% difference in them for the same product. Ultimately we went with the lowest price because all were offering the same product made at the same factory. Try-Tech is not a local company to me, they are about 450 miles away.

Try-Tech industries offered the lowest price with the guarantee of lifetime support. I’ve taken advantage of this by reaching out to James for clarification on design and assembly. He has replied quickly and given several options for doing what I need to.

Because of Try-Tech and James, I saved close to $3,000 by investing my time to put it all together. This also allowed me to be obsessive about every detail and measurement on the patio cover.

I’ve recommended Try-Tech to several co-workers who are looking to get patio covers and offered to help build them.
