Office staff has the worst telephone and customer service skills. Drivers are crooked! They won't take a bin of mine because the lid was slightly open, but will take bribs to dump a day care Blue, Green, and 2 Black bins full of trash! I hope they loose their contract and L.A. County gets another company!

The first time I called to pick an old couch and some all cabinets. They told me to leave them on the side work and the will pick them up on Friday, they didn’t and after so many calls, they picked them up 3 weeks later. Did I said 3 weeks later. Now is my recycle bin. It’s broken and I called them for a replacement and they told Friday they will replace it for me. Now it Saturday they have not passed and my blue bin is still outside. I have no hope at this point that they will bring another one. When I call them, they don’t seem to care like the last time I called the person I talked to was so rude that I wanted her name to report her. She refused and said company’s policy and told me “ it is not like I have another choice.”

This company shouldn't be in business! They do a horrible job! The Sanitation Engineers leave our garbage cans in the middle of the street, they drop debris on the ground, it looks like a hurricane hit the neighborhood when they done. Thank God the street cleaner comes the day after to clean-up their mess. I'm not sure why the City of Pasadena cancelled Athens to award the new contract to this inefficient company! To top it off, you can never get through to the office and if you do, they'll never help!!! Please don't use this company if you don't have to.

This is an every week occurrence. Very poor communication from the business over the phone. We never had to pick up after driver lack of talent with Western Waste of decades of service.

Ever since the waste service bid for our community was taken off Athens Waste Management to Universal Waste Systems, the service has been extremely poor and higher cost (although the reason for the switch was communicated as that it was cost saving).
I can‘t count the times anymore that I had to call UWS to tell them they forgot to empty the trash cans in our street on their weekly tour. Often, I do not have the time to wait on hold on the phone (30 min-1 hour) to tell a customer representative to send a truck. I‘ve actually been right now on hold to complain again for not providing their service, and after 30 min wait time just got kicked off the phone line!!
They also charge us for an extra green bin, which Athens never did.
The bins themselves are of a much flimsier material than the ones by Athens, so we find them typically flipped over laying on the street (not curb) after serviced.

You provide thee Lousiest service for what you charge, I do not generate enough waste to fill a black container full within 6 months maybe. So once AGAIN you failed to collect my trash bin with it's 2 Walmart bags of trash. YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE PAYMENT FOR THE NEXT CYCLE !! Promise made !! #universalwastesucks

The trucks pass by my house every Friday. They don't pick up my trash although I always have it outside on Friday mornings before 5 AM. When I come back from work, I always find out that the trash is still there and call costumer service. The operator promise that they will order to pick it up later. Some times they pick it up later but most of the time they pick it up until Monday or Tuesday. It is unfortunate that I have to call every Friday for that since this company is servicing the city of South Gate. I have been living hear for 23 years and have never had this problem since Universal Waste Systems started doing this service for us. I pay monthly ON TIME and I believe that I deserve a good service from them.
I also called them to pick up a table and chairs, and they didn't. I called them again, and didn't pick them up. I don't know if there is a miscommunication between the main office with the drivers, but they need to do something to change this horrible way of operating their company.
