My experience at Velona Health has been top notch. It’s very alarming when you have pain in your moneymaker ( right wrist). CJ was able to get me right again by working further up my arm to the actual source of my issue and also greatly improved my posture in the process. Her literal hands on approach is a total departure from previous experiences with corporate PT entities and it makes all the difference in the world . If you want PT success with someone who actually gets right in there to achieve great results than CJ is definitely your person. Dogter Kala is also an all-star and greatly enhances you feeling on well being at your visit.

I found Velona by researching a holistic approach to physical therapy. From the moment I met Dr. Mimee, I have felt seen, understood, validated and safe under her care. I've been experiencing low level pain that travels, and at times disappears and then reappears, which might lead someone to think you're making things up or it's not that serious. There is nothing corporate about Velona. The one-on-one attention you get really sets it apart from other physical therapies. When you go in, someone with a great deal of knowledge (I've seen CJ and Chris) works hard to understand your pain (in my case back pain) and to develop personal treatment plans. If things aren't going to plan, they adjust and come up with new ideas. While getting better can take time, it feels good right away to know that someone with real expertise is working with you to recover.

The team at Velona is one of the kindest, most thoughtful group of providers I have had the opportunity to work with. Coming from experiences with high volume PT clinics who seemed to boot you out the door as soon as you reported a reduction in pain, this practice felt like a breath of fresh air. Dr CJ, Chris, & Dr Lauren have all been incredibly supportive of my healing process. Despite dealing with flareups, reoccurances, and difficult changes in my symptoms, they have remained adaptable and eager to help me manage pain and work towards better mobility and wellness. It should go without saying that each of them are also incredibly skilled at what they do, whether evaluating movement, providing manual therapy, or designing a program of home care. My 17 year old daughter began seeing Dr. CJ Mimee over the summer for a cross-country related knee injury. We cannot say enough good things about Dr. CJ and her practice! She is incredibly knowledgeable, and takes a multifaceted approach to helping her patients with their “projects.” She is able to identify the problem and then explore root causes in other parts of the body - an approach that has been incredibly successful for my daughter. My daughter’s orthopedist is very impressed with the care she’s receiving. Dr. CJ truly cares about her patients, and she has done an amazing job making my daughter feel like the two of them are a team.
