I feel like these guys need a few good reviews. They've done a lot of preventative tree cutting over the last year and it's paid off. Our power has been consistent and comes back on quickly after an outage. Our net metering has worked out well too.

In the past 2 years my electric bill has jumped from $130 to over $200!!!!!! This is absolutely outrageous, especially with people with one income!! All they do when I call is try to tell me the watts that I use when two years ago I used the same exact watch and it was a lot cheaper!! This is a terrible company for doing such a terrible thing!!!

Worst power company ever customer service is super rude, the price is ridiculous, and to top it all off they know they can be a complete trash company because they r the only place u can get power from. Wish they would get shut down already.

Probably the worst light company I've ever experienced. I could turn my breaker off and still have a 200 light bill. I live in a less than 1200 sqft house and my light bill is always astronomical 300-400 some months. I'd give it no stars but unfortunately that's not an option.

Vermont Electric coop claims to be a not for profit company, Green Mtn power is a for profit company. Funny thing is Vermont Electric coop charges twice as much than Green Mtn power.

Expect extended outages. Expect frequent outages. Seriously reconsider moving anywhere that is only serviced by Vermont Electric. It’s life changing how drastic the difference is compared to Green Mountain Power. The service Vermont Electric provides should be free and matter of fact, they should pay you to use them. 48-72 hour outages multiple times a year. Very inconsistent coverage.

My power has been out for 12 hrs & when I check the outages on the website it says time to repair unknown. These guys never have their act together & take longer than anyone else to restore power & give you wrong or no info on when the power is being restored. Worst power company in Vermont by far.
