Okay install; poor after service

Installation: Wattsun did an okay job installing panels. Wires were not clipped to panels. The wires are hanging onto the roof, which exposes the wiring to water, heat, and debris. The wiring and panels on the side of the house are clean and look nice.

Service Call: After 2+ years of panels producing well, the panels started having issues and Wattsun was slow to send out technicians. The Enphase app didn’t send notification the panels weren’t working for up to a week, then it was 3-4 days for a tech to come out. One email went unanswered for 3 weeks.

Squirrels: Unfortunately, squirrels chewed through the wiring, which was never mentioned as a possible issue during the sales presentation nor installation. Luckily, after two months of not diagnosing the problem correctly, the exposed wires didn’t cause any major damage or a fire.

I am extremely impressed with WattSun Solar Energy and the solar project I hired them for. Mike Coons came over for the initial visit and explained the entire process to me and helped set expectations. WattSun Solar customer service is outstanding and second to none…that is hard to find today. They even arranged financing and it is was so easy to do. Zero out of pocket and ill be getting a 30% federal rebate that I can apply to the loan. Installation went awesome and I was incredibly happy with all the employees and their attitude as well as craftsmanship. Dennis, Cody, Mike, Dave, Christopher, and Victor…the whole crew is simply great people doing a fantastic job at an affordable price. The Duke Energy guy just came to do the final meter upgrade and he said that he has seen a lot of solar installs by many companies, but even he was impressed with the work WattSun did. I highly recommend WattSun Solar Energy. Mike even came back to take these awesome pics from his drone!

I do NOT usually answer the door for sales calls, but Cody caught me on a day when my wife and I were getting ready to leave for the day. And I am so GLAD that he did! I was curious about solar so I invited him in to educate me. Cody was so knowledgeable but very humble in his approach. All defensiveness that I would usually feel toward a "sales presentation" was immediately gone and I began to get excited about the prospect of becoming a "net-zero" solar home! When Cody came back to meet with us with my actual numbers, (electric usage, panels needed, cost of system and government rebate credit) it was a "no brainer". HOWEVER.... I was disappointed and discouraged to find out that my roof was at end-of-life and I could not get solar installed until that was taken care of. Cody genuinely empathized with my disappointment and recommended a roofer. While I did not ultimately use that roofer, I was able to work it out to get my roof replaced and was then on to my solar installation. Cody's crew worked promptly and very courteously to get everything up and running, and I love the way it looks! Can't wait to get my first Duke Energy bill with solar! Thanks Cody and crew!

Our Experience with WattSun was outstanding. Cayden was our first point of contact, and he made sure we understood everything we needed to choose and install the right system, size, production, warranties, and loan.

Once we sign the contract, WattSun assisted us with the whole process to get our project going, including the County and HOA permits.

After that, the crew of installers showed up and they were very professional and friendly. Communication was great, the job was done in less than two days and the finishes were super clean (judge by the pictures, not a single pipe visible).

I would definitely recommend WattSun to my family and friends.

If you want a good price and you want great people that work for you, use Wattsun Solar! My representative was so helpful and he pride pretty much sold us on the whole idea and we are very glad that we did! Josh Earl was amazing. When I had a bit of trouble with my app, getting it all downloaded correctly,, Cayden was very helpful. I have never worked with a company that has such wonderful young men! They sold me!

From day 1 when Rob knocked on my door I was impressed with the company and what they were offering. My husband was hesitant until we sat down with Chris and went over all the numbers. He was sold immediately and he's NOT an easy sell. The installation was done ahead of schedule which was great for us. They were very thorough when explaining the process and steps needed to complete the job. They took their time and made sure everything was done correctly. When everything was up and running, Chris came out to explain how to read the meter so we could track our solar progress. Working with Wattsun has been one of the best experiences working with a company that we’ve ever had in our lives.

Cayden was our point person, from the second he knocked on our door and told us about the business he was nothing but kind, professional, real and awesome to work with.

He’s hardworking, knows exactly what he’s talking about, and you can see that he really studied the solar installation process from start to finish. He was patient, answered every question and even came out a 2nd day to answer some extra questions we had about the process. If he said he would have something to you by the end of the day, we’d get it within hours. There hasn’t been one time that I called him and he didn’t answer the phone.

We spoke to 5 different solar companies around the Orlando area, and none of them impressed me as much as Cayden and Wattsun did. Plus we were more than surprised that our of all of those companies they were able to offer a great price for what they were providing, plus were willing to match anyone that came provided a lower quote with using the same quality material.

After we signed the contract and started the project, one thing that we really loved was that Wattsun does not subcontract, so everyone that’s had a hand in the project was in house. This ensured that the process was smooth and speedy.

The team that came out to install was amazing! David, Chris, Chris, Chase, and Dennis all were kind, professional, & overall down to earth, cool guys.

The entire project took 3 days to complete which was perfect & they were able to work on our time schedule.

We have a tile roof in which we were told solar is harder to complete on, but they still made it happen and the tiles came out looking great. They even came back and spent an entire day fixing broken tiles!

The owner of the company came out for a final walkthrough of the project, he introduced himself to me and walked me through all the little ins and outs of any concerns that we had about the project.

Lastly, it looks great. We’ve seen a few other solar panels projects where the wiring was showing, and other aspects of the project looked thrown together.

But for our house it looks great! Sleek and honestly made the roof of the house look nicer.

They’ve truly set the gold standard for any company we work with in the future on home improvement projects.

Make sure you do your due diligence like we did but I MORE THAN ASSURE YOU that no one else out there will compare to Wattsun.
