The people at this company were fantastic. I was in need of a roll off dumpster to purge my ranch of a variety of things. They were polite, curdious and punctual. They made the experience easy and pain free.

Purchased a home in Auberry in April, and the previous owner had contracted western/ponderosa to clear out a garbage pile they had left. They did not come on the scheduled date, instead came a week and a half later without providing notice to me (the property owner) and apparently were too busy breaking down my barricaded shop door to rob me to get the trash picked up all the way. I spoke with the owner, who feigned some sort of miscommunication with the previous land owner over what was “up for grabs” at the property. The shop door they had to break down apparently was not enough of a hint for employee Mike Larkin. Some of our property was returned by Mike, who rambled on about how he wasn’t the one who stole it, that he had told the person who did to cut it out but they were coming back for more. Zach, the owner of western assured me that Mike would no longer be employed there for his behavior, but that was apparently also not true. I called much later to ask if I could be assured that the thief had been terminated or at least not allowed near my property, and Zach indicated that he will “not be told how to run his business”. Watch your property, if anything turns up missing start with a call to western/ponderosa. If you can avoid contracting with them at all, I would advise it. Unfortunately they are the county contract for municipal trash service, heads up.

Overpriced and absolutely terrible service. They refused to pick up my cans at least a dozen times for various reasons, only 1 of which was almost justified by weather. Their crew manager actually tried to chew me out not knowing that the owner had told me to do what he was upset about. I tried to stay with them for many years but the price continues to increase while the service provided continues to decrease. I figured out that I was paying an average of $15 per household bag of trash per month!!!!!

Well I’m not surprised to see the ratings for this company. Very tempted to start my own garbage pick up service in the area because this company’s service is beyond words. I usually don’t complain because every company has its struggles. But when I saw all of the one star reviews, it just confirmed to me that what I am bothered about is not an isolated event... this is their normal business practice. It may be worth it to buy your own trash reciprocal and call a hauler once a week instead of deal with this company. Unreal.

They are obviously, like most trash services, a local monopoly. They have been and will always be the worst in my opinion. Always looking for a reason not to pick up trash. Poor customer service at extremely high prices.

I would not recommend them, but you really don't have a choice and they know that.

I’m surprised that other customers rated higher than 1. They have Terrible service, their trucks tear up our roads, they break their own trash containers and will not replace, and the only reason their drivers leave the truck is to give citations. Heck they didn’t even want to collect trash during COVId pandemic-HOW LAZY. Finally they are EXPENSIVE for no service!!!

This company price gouges its clientele becuae they know there are no other options. They don't even take all the trash out of the can when they dump it and won't take cardboard boxes when left next to the trash cans. Very lazy working staff. The county needs to get a better service for there citizens
