We had an emergency visit at White Mountain Smiles while visiting beautiful Sho Low/Pinetop. They immediately were able to see my daughter who was in a ton of pain. Dr. Kyle Thomas was so good, through and gentle while working due to her pain. His hygienist and staff were also awesome! I highly recommend this dentist.

Edit: Original review below but to be clear Dr. Thomas recommended an unnecessary root canal. The crown he placed was sitting too high and causing pain every time I bit down. Not uncommon, and should have been obvious. Instead of relieving my pain by leveling off the crown he recommended an expensive, painful, and unnecessary procedure.

Original review:
I went to White Mountain Smiles to get a severely damaged/chipped tooth repaired. After extensive drilling Dr. Thomas put on a crown. He was very nice and had great bedside manner, explaining everything in detail, but at the end of the day that's superficial to the actual results. After the procedure my jaw was in pain for at least a month. When that finally subsided immediately tooth pain commenced (probably always there but overshadowed by the jaw pain). I thought maybe the crown wasn't seated properly.

I went back to Dr. Thomas the following spring (I'm a snowbird) and he gave me a free follow up and advised I needed a root canal on that same tooth. I suppose it could be coincidence but I feel it's more likely he either missed the need for the root canal or, even worse, caused it. When I balked at the price he suggested financing it. I'm not going into debt for dental care. I paid $3,200 for the original work and I'm not throwing good money after bad. I'm going to Mexico to get it fixed.

I was visiting from out of town and my crown came off. I left a message because it was after hours. Promptly the next morning, I received a phone call and White Mountain Smiles was able to fit me in their schedule that morning. Dr. Thomas was very attentive, personable, and professional. He was able to reattach my crown and send me on my way. I am so grateful that they were able to help in my dental emergency. I highly recommend White Mountain Smiles to anyone! Thank you again to Dr. Thomas and his wonderful staff!

I highly recommend White Mountain Smiles, especially if you are nervous about going to the dentist. They are kind, gentle and very thorough. I feel like I am in good hands and they know what they are doing.

White Mountain Smiles is excellent. Jan is great and while teeth cleaning isn’t my favorite but Jan is awesome!!! Highly recommended.

I’m working on getting a few teeth fixed with root canals/crowns and fillings. I had my first two root canals last week. I’m not the best patient because I’m really fearful of dental work. I have a hard time sitting still through procedures but they were patient with me and did a great job. They worked on 2 of my front teeth so I was really nervous about how it would look after the root canals while I’m waiting for my crowns. They matched the color perfectly and shaped them to look really straight and nice so they look amazing. Way better than my original teeth. No intense pain after I got home either. I’m happy so far and can’t wait to get more work done.
