This trail was a nice walk in the rainforest! We could only walk the mile to the hand tram because of the reconstruction, but it was very pretty and easy! We wish we could finish the whole trail because it looks beautiful! Lots of species of mushrooms!

Great walk, very peaceful and serene. Did not see much wildlife except for a few squirrels and a large Guinea Hen. Hand Tram closed.

Super busy! Felt like walking through the mall there were so many people. Basically a walking path with some rolling hills... easy, quick trip to closed down hand tram.
Some beautiful scenery of the creek, bridges and falls along the way.
Park at lower visitor lot unless you're staying at the resort

Wet and muddy, there was a Sun up in the sky, but it was little dark all the way. Tram was closed. 오후 3시쯤 이었고좀 무서웠어요.

I went to the tram several years ago from another route behind the Alyeska hotel. It was 2.5 miles. This route was much shorter at .8 miles! Unfortunately, the tram was closed after two men died within weeks of each other, but the view is still gorgeous!

Pretty hike, but very very busy! The hand tram is permanently closed after 2 deaths in 2019. For now this is a very short out and back hike.

A bridge replacement is pending and construction has an estimated completion date of summer 2025.

Beautiful hike though what looked like Boreal forest with a river crossing in a hand tram and a couple of wood bridges you can cross.

Hike is suitable for almost any age. It's only 1 mile to the hand tram and if you just want to experience that you can do a 2 mile loop and head back. Longer hikes are available to the Aleyska resort and further up canyon.

Mosquitoes were minimal and I didn't see much wildlife. Lots of interesting mushrooms if you keep your eyes peeled. The trail is very popular so if you want to do the hand tram under your own power you'll need to get there really early.

There's a bus that will take you from the nearby town to the trailhead. This is a nice option as the road is unpaved
