I have not been customer of Waste Management since 2021 and yet they still send me messages and ask for my input of survey. I would not recommend them for any county service. Their lack of management also existed when I lived in the Keys and put up with their mismanagement !!!

I don't think it is possible to find a company more difficult to work with. They come up with every excuse in the world to not provide service initially. Once they start they then do everything they can to not service your account. Excuses after excuses. The pictures below are the gigantic amount of room we have for the tiny 2 yard dumpster and the route manager says even though they delivered it there and have dumped it there 3 times already that their truck can't get to the dumpster properly Seriously? You could land a 747 in this amount of space. In addition they delivered the dumpster full of trash and took several phone calls and arguments to get it corrected much to their dislike. This is a typical company that is actively seeking to get out of as much work as possible and constantly upsell their already horrible services. I wish there was a competitor. Rant over.

I asked male rep why our street was missed again, and he replied “I can’t even get a burger at McDonald’s, were hiring and training new staff, it’s the keys it’s just something you have to deal with”.

I have been using WM at this location since 2000 and lately, they have decided they will not empty the same recycling bin that has been picked up every week for all these years. The Rockland Key office staff are useless. It sounds like they are gritting their teeth to be civil and will cut off the phone call before you can even say thanks or bye.When I call they reassure me that someone will come out and pick up the bin but no one ever does. This has happened multiple times. At one point, I was able to call a supervisor who was excellent at taking care of these issues but unfortunately he has moved on. If there is an issue that's my fault, I would appreciate knowing what it is so that I can address it but so far they have not been forthcoming with that either.

Update: It took a day of phone calls and complaining to a county official but they did finally empty my recycle bin.
Today was regular garbage day. Rather than pick up my can and empty it into the truck, they lazily plucked the top bag of trash out of the can and left behind the bag of used cat litter to smell up the trash can until next pick up. It shouldn't take this much kvetching to get basic trash service. It's not like it's free - they are charging me for the service.

Update:
MORE poor service!! Instead of dumping my entire trashcan, the guy plucks the top bag out of the can and leaves all the bags of dirty kitty litter in the bottom - every week. The lady I called about it, today, was very nice on the phone and said she would report it to my route manager and try to get someone to come out and finish emptying it. We'll see. I hope. I am spending a ridiculous amount of time these days, trying to get the trash pick up service I'm paying for.

They estimated $1,200 for residential trash pickup, yet it's not that much furniture! They didn't give an itemized estimate just the amount. I used to work for construction company and they never paid that, most they paid was probably half that amount for construction trash pickup!

Trying to get the service I pay for has required a lot of my time lately. A couple of months ago, the guys on the recycling truck arbitrarily decided not to pick up my recyclables anymore. I finally had to involve a county official to get that solved.

Now I am finding that the trash guy is too lazy to pick up and dump my can. He takes the top bag and leaves all the bags of pet waste in the bottom of my can.

Calling the local office for help is a complete waste of time. They always give the same song and dance about alerting the route manager and trying to get someone out to take care of the problem. No one EVER shows up - until you get the county official involved.

It shouldn't be this hard to get the trash and recycling service I deserve and pay for.

Called twice before for a heavy pickup, never received a call back, however when I call them they advised they left me voicemails with quotes, which I never received. Absolutely ridiculous quotes I might add for a few simple pieces of particleboard!
Yesterday was recycling day. I had an old busted up plastic WM recycling bin that I placed in my Robo can. Literally watched the driver take it out of the can and toss it back in my yard. Why? It’s broken, recyclable, and useless!
Today was yard debris pick up day, everyone on my street had their debris picked up except me. A half can of dead palm and weeds weighing no more than 15lbs at most and strategically placed on the edge of the street where it can’t be missed! Would love to know what the excuse was for not taking it!?
Been living here for 2 years and have seen way too much of this company’s petty b.s.
